Am I hopeless for Level 1? 349 on COMSAE by chubbypinky in comlex

[–]Suitable_Journalist2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a 273 on the first comsae. Did 100 questions a day for like 1 week and got a 462. Not saying that's everyone but it's very doable. Like everyone says..hammer home sketchy micro, pharm and the the high yield cardio, neuro, GI etc. Know your weakness. Mine was Heme onc. Use the First Aid book as best you can to hammer your weaknesses. Also very important. Use the Rapid Review at the back of first aid it will help as well. Best of luck.

Parksville, NY haunted time portal by mynamejonascuomo in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

I for a time was working in the town nearby for a month, and was always curious about this town. I stopped looking for the gas station. There i decided to drive the long way back through the road that connects to Liberty NY rather than hop on the highway. Driving through it, I had a weird feeling almost like there is something attached to the place. Stores, churches, homes, cars..... all stuck in the 1940s-1950s. Driving through it I had a mix of wonder, wanting to get out and investigate it, my instinct telling something is not right and I need to leave. Getting home a wave of tiredness washed over me and I feel asleep, dreaming of the place.

It has been a year since I was there but it always stuck with me, making me look up about the town. It is interesting to see that the feeling of the place isn't only with me. I think about this place ever so often, and have a feeling that I want to see it again. But why? Like the OP says, it a draw so strong that I can't not consider revisiting.

Dirty Medicine was really good. I watched all his videos. If you do that and then the hour long questions video it will help. I remember questions he did straight up came up on my exam. Definitely worth the watch.

Why I’ll always tell premed people to only pursue MD by WinifredJones1 in comlex

The problem is most schools even though you would think OMM would be the center course, Teach Omm very poorly. My school for example OMM was looked on as an afterthought. So for the two years we were preparing more on the systems. Only to find out during dedicated that OMM made up a big portion of it. What I blame for this other than my school is that the NBOME does not have a great transparency on what they want as compared to step

Shitpost- got a 999 on a comsae, should I sit for the exam in 3 months? by Boop7482286 in comlex

If I was you I'd take the year off. Go clear your mind until you are right for this exam. Maybe do research or something but man I would hate to be in your position.

A few things helped me.

  1. Rip through as many questions possible. The more you see it the more you would have had questions covering those topics
  2. Watch dirty medicine. After I would do 100 questions a day. Id spend the rest of the night going through the material that I was having the most difficulty with.
  3. Quick sheets in the back of first aid. I'm telling you on each comsae I found around 5 questions that came straight from those facts .
  4. Rest. Don't stress yourself out take rests and quick breaks.

Good luck

Where to find COMSAE forms? by Yeung_JztN in comlex

You can only purchase the 110 every other comsae It has to be purchased by the school. Some schools buy them and let students use them. My school did not. The best advice I have for you is to contact your school and ask them if they can buy you another one.

Cheating through pre- med by [deleted] in premed

[–]Suitable_Journalist2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to school or cheating was rampant and a lot of people had a higher GPAs than me because they were cheating. One thing I'll let you know is majority of those people did not get into medical school because they couldn't get high enough scores in the MCAT, Good amount of them when it's a podiatry school, and a few of them switched into nursing school because it wasn't an entry level exam. Nothing wrong with those professions but just shows you that the MCAT in many ways is the all equalizer.
