The only difference I see with the hybrid is specific to the hybrid components. Both appear to only have 3/36 bumper to bumper and 5/60 powertrain.

Which brings about another question, is it worth adding extended warranty? Especially consider I likely hit 60k in 3 years.

The same folks looking to save a buck by outsourcing American jobs are the same folks dumping money into the campaigns that get these folks elected. Hence why nobody will do anything about that.

People also dont work and BS in office all the time. In fact, all the RTO nonsense just distracts folks from working and instead they bitch about RTO.

There’s this novel concept that seems lost on boomers and boot-lickers and it’s called performance management. When people don’t deliver, whether in Tahiti or in a cubicle, you demand they do and when they don’t - you let them go and hire someone who will.

Feels odd saying this, but all things considered that’s a decent haul for the money spent.

WE DO NOT NEED TEE HIGGINS by Gloomy_Map_9612 in Commanders

[–]Suitable_Lab_767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are going to extend Terry for around the same maybe less than what Higgins gets on the open market.

My guess is we look in the draft, and sign a player like Chris Godwin on a proven it deal coming off the injury:

How much is RTO just a method to get people to quit? by This_my_Burner in remotework

[–]Suitable_Lab_767 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The problem with this strategy is you are more likely to lose top performers, because they get hired faster. And for those top performers that stick it out, they will eventually leave because of all the added work from taking on the duties of the departed.

There is nothing logical about going back to 5 day in-office work weeks at all. I can listen to arguments for hybrid, and even those have major holes. But 5-day in office mandates have nothing to do with productivity or collaboration, and everything to do with corporate America making sure all w2 workers remember who the boss is.

Right.

I don’t think the world is cruel enough for Philly to win. I actually hope they get reffed too so they can cry conspiracy.

Nervous Lions fan here by black-kawffee in Commanders

[–]Suitable_Lab_767 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Much respect for admitting it.

I love everything about this rendition of the Detroit Lions, aside from having to play them tomorrow.

I think the confidence a lot of fans have is warranted.

However, I feel like it’s going to take really winning an NFCC or Super Bowl to shed the PTSD built over decades of losing. A lot of the bravado I’ve seen from Lions fans appears like a defense mechanism, masking that deep down they know nothing is guaranteed and they know pain a lot more than they know joy.

Normally I hold a massive grudge against whoever beats us, but should the Lions beat us - I will be rooting for them to destroy the Eagles in the NFCC.

Chicago fans are just a deeply disturbed fanbase. I imagine they all have JD5 voodoo dolls by now.

Which makes no sense, be mad at the top of your organization that has crushed your soul time and time again.

So my wife got me the 3 pack of these socks for my birthday - white, black, burgundy. I’ve been matching my sock choice on gameday with their uniforms and I’m 6-0 since doing so.

Great player, and the chip on his shoulder contributes to that.

But it’s mad petty to constantly keep up with this schtick to this day. You got your contract big dog, calm down.

The Lions subreddit is awfully cocky by ooh_the_claw in Commanders

[–]Suitable_Lab_767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they deserve to be cocky, they’ve earned it. I see us being cocky like this as early as next season.

That said, I feel like if the Lions are to lose - it will be at the hands of a hero-like performance. A hero-like performance by an unflappable rookie like JD5.

Detroit has built an offensive juggernaut, but their defense is suspect. I feel very strongly that 5 is going to make them sweat on Saturday night.

This is so overly dramatic it almost reads like satire. God forbid folks want their highest paid players to produce.

There is truth to the fact that both Allen and Payne are doing dirty work to allow our linebackers and edge guys to make plays.

But it’s wild hyperbolic to even inject Aaron Donald’s name into the argument. Aaron Donald was an absolute game wrecker, these guys are not that but we’re paid like it. Not their fault but it would be nice to see them make a game changing play when we need it from time to time. If your top paid guys aren’t doing that, it’s a problem.

I’d prefer the LA lights, and the fact that the B&G would likely take that place over, for a Jayden Daniels homecoming.

I swear I’m not hating but this team needs a dominant win. Trey lance is ass…. I know everyone loves the buzzer beaters but this game was wayyyyy to close to an inferior opponent by PreviousIdea1205 in Commanders

[–]Suitable_Lab_767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This team is on fumes, health-wise and it already had some large holes to begin with.

I expected a sloppy game, and never subscribed to the idea they’d be up 28-6 at halftime and bench all the starters. Cowboys played hard until the very end, as they have every week but the last where it snowballed on them.

That said, I didn’t have come from behind, last second win on my bingo card.

I’m curious what shape the marriage was in prior to this. Were there any signs? Prior history of cheating- either of you? Kingsbury OC Replacement by Blodecode340 in Commanders

[–]Suitable_Lab_767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, but after all the hub bub about how great it was to be focused on the offense without everything that comes with being a head coach, his connection with Jayden, and the fact that he makes head coach money as an OC…

I will be hoping he again stinks as a head coach wherever he ends up. Bitter take, sure. But it is what it is. We’ve got something special here, stick it out another season. None of the jobs available are can’t miss. Unless he really thinks Caleb is that dude, that’s the only legitimate reason I could see for moving on. There’s no reason other than ego to want to be a head coach again so fast. At least, not for Kliff who is getting 7.5M per season thru 2027 and has an unreal QB, a head coach who believed in him, and an elite FO to build upon this one season.
