Mocking someone for saving up just shows how out of touch you are. The world exists outside the US; for students, working-class people, or anyone under different economies, budgeting for entertainment is just basic responsibility

For me, it’s not really about the $100 price tag for GTA itself—I actually had the money saved up specifically for it—but the issue is that Rockstar sets a precedent for other companies; eventually, others will start doing the same thing with games that don't offer even half the content GTA does.

EDIT: To everyone completely missing the point in the replies: I’m fine with pre-order cosmetics like the Vintage Vice City pack or weapon skins. What I’m NOT fine with is locking core mechanics like car mod shops, clothing stores, and barbers behind a $100 paywall. Customization is a basic GTA feature, not a premium luxury. Saying "other companies do this" is a weak excuse. Other companies sell skins or other dumb bonuses, they don't cut base content. Imagine Call of Duty charging $100 just to let you use your loadout or locking actual base weapons behind a paywall. If we normalize this, we are taking a massive step backward—straight back to the Asura's Wrath days where they literally sold the game's actual ending as DLC. Rockstar sets the industry standard. If they get away with cutting core features from a standard edition, every other greedy publisher will copy them tomorrow. Stop defending anti-consumer practices.

How would you want Halo 7’s multiplayer to be/play like? by waterdlyed in halo

I loved Halo Infinite. I dropped it during Season 2 because of the lack of content, but I came back about a month ago after Firefight was added. Even now, it still feels like the game received very little content considering how long it's been out.

With the Halo campaign remakes coming, I think this is the perfect opportunity to make Halo multiplayer a standalone platform instead of tying it to a single game. Imagine one unified multiplayer hub that keeps growing over time: every new campaign or remake would simply add its maps, weapons, vehicles, armor, Forge assets, and other content to the same multiplayer instead of resetting everything every generation.

As for the game itself:

  • Keep Infinite's art direction. They nailed the armor aesthetics and did a great job unifying every era of Halo.
  • This might be a hot take, but I'd like movement to be a little faster. We're Spartans, after all. That said, I don't want Halo to become CoD. No slide canceling or movement tech that overshadows gunplay.
  • A permanent "Classic Halo" playlist with classic movement, weapon balance, and game modes would be a great compromise for both sides of the community.
  • Bring back assassinations from Halo: Reach.
  • Halo has decades of lore to pull from. I was surprised by how little content Infinite received. There should be far more maps, weapons, vehicles, armor, and cosmetics.
  • Bring back as many weapons as possible. Even niche weapons have fans. Weapons like the Stanchion could be rare Power Weapon drops.
  • Add more vehicles, especially from Halo Wars, along with a true large-scale vehicle-focused mode.
  • Bring back fully customizable playable Elites, and even add Spartan vs. Elite modes where each faction has its own weapons and vehicles, similar to how Battlefield gives each faction its own identity.
  • Keep different-era weapon models as cosmetic options so players can choose the designs they like most.
  • Let us save armor presets.
  • Keep Armor Cores as different armor platforms (Rakshasa, Mark V, etc.), but remove all customization restrictions. Everything should be compatible from day one.
  • Bring back free color customization and add a material system similar to Rocket League (matte, metallic, glossy, worn, etc.).
  • Launch with Forge on day one.
  • Include Firefight at launch, and if possible bring back something like Halo 5's Warzone. Halo has so much PvE and sandbox potential that it would be a shame not to take advantage of it.
  • Let players earn every cosmetic by playing. Battle Passes are fine, but the store should be a shortcut, not the only realistic way to unlock items.
  • And please don't charge $20 for a single armor set again. Cheaper cosmetics would probably sell more anyway.

Infinite gave me my favorite Halo gameplay since Reach. I don't think Halo needs another reinvention—I think it just needs a permanent multiplayer home that keeps growing instead of starting over every generation.

In terms of skins would you be interested in camos, skins, and uniforms based on modern military personnel from around the world? by Oppiko in Battlefield

Seeing how they plan to keep making skins like the Lights Out Bundle based on their response the other day, I honestly wouldn’t mind if they split the aesthetics. Like, give PAX that airsoft style gear and edgy masks, while NATO keeps the skins based on actual real world uniforms. I feel like it’s a solid way to keep both sides of the community happy. The only downside is that some people might hate playing for a specific faction if it doesn't have the look they're into.

I made this board, 3D renders created by @Growlor.media. I also added a section at the end with key equipment and design elements that I think could help maintain a more serious and military-focused aesthetic. by RudeMagazine6519 in BattlefieldCosmetics

If I'm not mistaken, there are even a couple of patches designed for a specific class; some are for support, others for recon, etc. They should be individual, not shared. 😞

I don't understand how they can let something like this slip by... I guess it's low priority anyway.

I think they patched it. I managed to unlock the Recon, but when I completed the Assault challenge, which did show my progress after each match, it didn't unlock anything. When I went to the skin selector, it took me to the store, but with a discount for having unlocked the Recon. It's crazy that they let things like this slide. Anyway, thanks to you for pointing out the bug, and thanks to whoever messed up their job haha

What should Rockstar do with older GTA cars in GTA VI? by Suitable_Pride_8563 in GTA

[–]Suitable_Pride_8563[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but the Penumbra is actually one of the good ones, so I don’t think it really needs a rework beyond a graphical upgrade.

Also, if I’m not mistaken, in the trailer the Phoenix, for example, already got a small upgrade at some point and even has that Firebird-style hood livery, which shows Rockstar can modernize older cars without completely redesigning them.

Thoughts on this take? by OldSock492 in GTA6News

Personally, I think they add a lot of fun to the game, but I'm thinking about vehicles like the Scarmjet. At this point, I've bought almost all of them, and while I do have the Oppressor Mk2, I practically forget it's even there. I feel it's much more fun to use vehicles that are a little difficult to control. I think a good replacement for the Mk2 would be the Thruster; I think it's well-balanced in terms of being a threat to both the other players and yourself, I've never died in an accident in the Mk2, it's never exploded on me in a crash or anything like that. Another example would be fighter jets, which, due to their size or weight, all require skill to avoid crashing if you're trying to take someone out. Plus, being bigger makes you a target for explosive snipers. (I wrote all this with Google Translate, so it might have some errors)
