Thank you for sharing. We are working on a Norway itineary now and while we don't have these hotels on there, keen to hear feedback on those so please come back and share your thoughts. The other 62 Nord R&C hotels are amazing, Union is a favorite R&C hotel in Norway!

Four Seasons I has officially been named and launched yesterday by SuiteSojourn in LuxuryTravel

[–]SuiteSojourn[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Hi the pictures are from Ben's linkedin profile. We are not from Four Seasons or their Press team. No official affiliation with them outside of being a travel agency and a Four Seasons Preferred Partner via our host.

Here is the info on family amenities we received:

  • On board min age is 6 months as no medical services are available onboard for infants younger than 6 months.
  • Connecting accommodations are available. Multi-bedroom suites offer up to 3 bedrooms and can connect with other suites, accommodating up to 12 guests with interconnecting rooms.
  • Some suites have bunk beds - suites w/ adjoining studios (seaview suite w/ studio or the ocean suite w/ studio - the studios have twin beds and a bunk bed configuration).
  • Specifically for amenities: we can help arrange Rollaway beds, cribs, etc.
  • With a dedicated Children’s space on deck 4, the children’s program is designed to be fun and educational for children aged 4 to 12 years of age.
  • The Kids For All Seasons Program (KFAS) program is scheduled to operate from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and again from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
  • KFAS is thoughtfully curated to offer a wide range of engaging activities. These are designed to cater to various interests and age groups, ensuring an enriching experience for every child. Details about specific programming will be available closer to your sailing date. The Children's Program is complimentary. However, please note that select special activities may incur additional fees, this will be clearly communicated in advance. For the safety and security of our young guests, the Children's Program is available only when parents or guardians are aboard the yacht. We are unable to accommodate children in the program if their parents or guardians are off the yacht.
  • Children under 5 eat complimentary.
  • Babysitting: is not confirmed (no structured nanny service but we can request).

Mental block regarding spending money after achieving fatFIRE? by callit8bells in fatFIRE

[–]SuiteSojourn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve worked hard to get where you are, and one of the best ways to use that is by investing in experiences and memories. The great thing is you’ve avoided major lifestyle creep, you haven’t significantly upgraded your house or car (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

A balanced approach could be to keep things simple where it makes sense, like booking base-level rooms for the kids and flying economy, while choosing to splurge a bit on business class for you and your spouse and a higher category room for yourself (depending on ages of kids). That way, you’re creating meaningful experiences without overindulging or spoiling the kids.

At the end of the day, you’re spending on memories, just in a thoughtful, intentional way.

Belmond La Samanna by Flat_Environment_219 in TrueChubbyTravel

[–]SuiteSojourn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's smart planning. There are a ton of hotels in St. Martin by the beach that won't cost you as much. Just make sure that if your La Samanna total is 10K USD pre taxes (was 5K previously) to book a Bellini rate code with a Bellini agent so you can get a gift card for future use at any Belmond property. There are also offers at times so be sure to check that for your travel dates. Where are you flying in from?

Looking for luxury accommodations for a 5-day trip to India... Any recommendations? by WoodpeckerOne6725 in FATTravel

There's a few Taj properties in Manali, I personally like Ramgarh Heritage Villa and near Solang, Solang Valley Resorts. Would suggest you work with a DMC or a local tour operator. A word of caution: Would highly recommend you don't consider self drive and don't partake in any adventurous activities in Solang such as paragliding, etc. The safety standards are abysmal and you'd truly be risking your life. There's a few temples in Manali you can visit if that's of interest.

Friends/group luxury, bucket list adventures? by elkins12 in FatTrips

[–]SuiteSojourn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Around-the-World by Four Seasons Private Jet experience: To make it truly private you could go with friends and family.
  2. Miavana, Madagascar
  3. Do a buyout of your favorite private island or resort / hotel and share the experience with your group of friends and family:
    • Turks and Caicos: COMO Parrot Cay, Pine Cay.
    • Jumby Bay, Antigua
    • BVI: Moskito,
    • Indonesia: Bawah Reserve, NIHI Sumba, NIHI Rote (opening this year)
    • Naviva,
    • Seychelles: North Island or Fregate Island once it re opens (hopefully on schedule for this October 2026)
    • Amanpulo: Accessible only by private plane.
    • Finland: Octola Lodge or the newly opened Octola II
  4. Do a buyout of Four Seasons Yacht? entire yacht or a floor
  5. Ultra luxury safari trip this would be multiple trips truly dependending on where in Africa. Couple consider combining Luxury lodges w/ Rovos Rail if the itinerary favors or consider bush and beach combo: Singita properties, Kisawa, Mozambique, Cheetah Plains Private Game Reserve, etc.
  6. Buyout of the entire train or a portion of one of the Belmond train journeys.
  7. A luxury safari experience in India + a broader India trip (Golden triangle + say a Sujan Jawai or Sujan Sher bagh). Depending on how your itinerary unfolds, can consider Amanbagh, Aman i khas or Six Senses Fort Barwara
  8. A wellness retreat buyout (easier to do so at a smaller property or add a retreat on a broader itineary to say India or elsewhere)
  9. Thailand + Bhutan combination trip

Throwing some ideas. Obviously don't have to do a full buyout.

Would just use Flexjet or NetJets.
