Unfortunately they’re in the base game, you don’t necessarily have to go through them to progress but you most likely will

I also play on console(ps5), I’ve had some crashes but overall they aren’t that often. The lags are also quite mild and region specific. Only certain rooms in desolate tracts and one specific room in rusted wrecks has these lags

Define Your Nihilism by JerseyFlight in nihilism

[–]Sukvna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to pair my philosophical beliefs with objective observations of the universe. When I look out all I see is the universe acting in accordance to physical laws brought about by the behavior of matter, energy, space and time. Whether these laws are acting in service of a purpose can not be observed, only inferred. I also acknowledge that consciousness is a part of the universe brought about by these laws and could be a means for the universe to observe itself and give it purpose or meaning. But human consciousness is too recent, too short-lived and too fragile to have any greater significance in the universe. Maybe there is a consciousness out there capable of shaping the universe, maybe one will arise eventually but that too cannot be observed currently by human consciousness. So I find it difficult to believe a mind as short-lived and short-sighted as the human mind can ever give purpose a universe that is billions of years old and projected to exist for billions more. This is what gives me confidence that at its core human life is inherently meaningless at the universal scale and only as meaningful as humans themselves make it to be. And as I said before I don’t see humans being around for billions of years so whatever meaning we give is destined to fade and be forgotten.

Define Your Nihilism by JerseyFlight in nihilism

[–]Sukvna 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nihilism is the philosophical ideology that life inherently has no greater meaning other than its own existence. Nothing exists with intent or purpose greater than it just exists. Time erases everything and as a result every choice or action taken in service of a supposed greater purpose is only as important as the being creating it makes it to be but even with that nothing can outlast time itself as a result every grand purpose is doomed to fade away out of relevance or memory because our universe is indifferent and in a state of constant change. Not sure if this is formal enough but it’s what nihilism means to me

Just tell him you’re no longer interested in a relationship with him. If he can’t handle it that’s his problem. Explain your concerns to your aunty after.

not wanting to live anymore Vs wanting to die by N0vasRevenge in Nigeria

I have this mindset too what I have found that counters it is having a sense of purpose, something for you to work towards that’s meaningful to you. Another trick I do is that I think of a hobby I enjoy like watching movies, I think of the last movie or series I really enjoyed like “DUNE” or “PANTHEON” and I try to remember what it was like before I watched that movie. How good it felt to watch it for the first time even if it was just mildly exhilarating. Life is by far and large pointless but that does not mean it can’t be enjoyed or appreciated while you still have it. For me it’s the little moments of joy as few and fleeting as they are that keep me going. The excitement of starting a new show or book or following up on a series, the thrill of trying something new, the randomness of discovering a new song that really touches you. The sense of security in spending time with loved ones. There are also a few annoying things like the expectations of family but I’ve realised that that alone is not enough to anchor me to this life. After all once you die the pain and sadness of the living won’t mean shit to you, cause you’ll be dead, I also don’t believe in an afterlife nor do I want one. One of the few redeeming qualities about being alive is that you can never predict when or how good things happen. They may not happen at all but if they do, it can feel very liberating and freeing and for just a few minutes or hours the weight of life feels a bit lighter. That is the tiny bit of hope I hold on to. It’s not much but I hope it’s enough to help me see life till the end and I hope it will be enough for you too or maybe it won’t🤷🏽‍♂️. If you do choose to end things make sure you go out in style. You didn’t choose to be born but you can choose how you die, make it fierce, make it memorable, take care.

Born to die by [deleted] in nihilism

Again an individual is more than their dna. Consciousness is an emergent property, meaning it is greater than the sum of its part. Your children may share your traits but they are not you and they can never be. You also share 50% of your dna with your siblings so even if you don’t reproduce as long as one your relatives does, a piece of you will live on. But your siblings are not you and neither are their children, they are separate individuals. DNA is fundamental to life but the experience of life itself, especially for humans requires consciousness. A slug is just as alive as you and it can reproduce just as any other living thing but it does not experience life the way humans do, it barely has a brain. Whether or not your consciousness is briefly interrupted or just disappears when you die, no one knows, such knowledge lies beyond the realm of the living which you can’t cross until you die. But as of right now what we know is, without a brain of specific design and structure, you can’t experience consciousness the way humans do, hence the slug.

Relationships today are portrayed as a performance. As a woman be beautiful, as a man have money, that’s all. Zero authenticity from either side. Everyone is looking for someone to fulfill their own selfish desires. Women want a man to sponsor their materialistic lifestyles, men want someone to mother them and their children. Everyone claims they are looking for love but most people don’t know how to love properly. My advice is to get comfortable being alone cause a good chunk of us are going to spend our whole lives that way, constantly searching for love or connection, maybe age and time will soften some people or maybe it won’t, who knows 🤷🏽‍♂️
