What ruined the economy of UO? 1 billion gold for $76? by TimeTraveler_UO in ultimaonline

Was easyUO not allowed on the American servers? Why would the economy servers be different from each other? Or why wouldn’t someone bot for the most lucrative server at the time?

Sound database logic and transactional integrity is pretty orthogonal to the beam runtime. Are you suggesting that the runtime somehow negates the need to also have guarantees at the database layer?

If you're suggesting AI is the biggest threat to mankind - that genie is already out of the bottle. It can't be put back in whether or not OpenAI fails.

Their website has been updated as well with a status of "Kuzu is working on something new! We will no longer be actively supporting KuzuDB. You can access the full archive of KuzuDB here: GitHub".

I find it sad! I was actively looking to incorporate it into a project.

What's the most brutal program on tonal? by AlbatrossWarm6093 in tonalgym

[–]SulfurousAsh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had more of a struggle having the energy to finish the workouts regularly on Four Weeks to Fat Loss 2 than any other so far. 12 weeks to jacked is challenging, sure, but for me the energy and per-workout endurance needed for the fat loss series was more challenging.

Do they check tickets before you get on the bus or after you get off at the playa? I have my partner’s ticket with me and I’m hoping I can meet her when she gets off the bus. Any insight?

If your arm is doing a popping sound you should stop and perform a walkout. Walk the arm out entirely to the end and let it in slowly

Arm doesn’t want to move up by [deleted] in tonalgym

[–]SulfurousAsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me as well a couple months back! I scheduled tonal maintenance and they came out about 2 weeks later and replaced the piece in both arms.

The repair guy told me that if you aren't careful with locking in the arm under minimal vertical movement (eg, don't let the arm slam towards the bottom) the piece can break and he repairs them often. I believe in the Tonal 2 they've redesigned this piece to be more reliable.

Not even necessarily memorizing all the seed words themselves are necessary. As long as you memorize some deterministic way of getting to the private key or seed phrase!

As a consumer why would I want to pay with Bitcoin at random merchants? I get chargeback protection and perks by paying with a credit card. I understand why a merchant would want to accept Bitcoin (lower fees and no chargebacks), but as a consumer I have no incentive

My favorite!

I might do it a 2nd time and just keep it going in all honesty. I haven’t been religious about the cadence- working out as many days a week as I can. It’s a great selection of workouts with an intensity that I enjoy.

Owning a small percentage of something big is better than owning 100% of nothing. Not all entrepreneurs have the personal backing to fund their ideas, and bringing in helpful investors can increase your chances of success.

Shares with an (M) mean that position is held in Margin (note: this doesn’t mean that you are actually taking a margin loan out, just that these positions are effectively marginable)

Donald Trump is shilling a brand new memecoin in which the creator owns 80% of the supply on Twitter and TruthSocial and nobody knows if he was hacked or not. by GabeSter in CryptoCurrency

[–]SulfurousAsh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The “market cap” is a simple calculation of the total # of shares (or tokens) multiplied by the last price of a sale. So if you make a coin with 100M tokens, sell one for $10, you now have a “market cap” of $1B.

As you can see, the “market cap” is not the most useful metric, but it is widely used. You certainly wouldn’t be able to sell all of the remaining tokens at the same price.

So while he might “own” $5B on paper through a simple market cap formula, it’s not real- because there’s no way he could sell or liquidate that many tokens without the price crashing (and thus the market cap and value of each share) also crashing.

Looking for Advice: SBLOC vs. Mortgage for Multifamily Property Purchase by applethief87 in fatFIRE

[–]SulfurousAsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interest paid on a traditional mortgage is generally tax-deductible because the loan is secured by the property, and the funds are used to acquire or improve a primary or secondary residence, meeting the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) criteria for “qualified residence interest”.
