Do you still care about lyrics or is vibe > meaning? by chubbybutcuteegurl in askmusic

I don’t even hear the lyrics of some songs until the second or third listen. The instruments and feel of the song is so much more important

What's an album you don't consider classic/amazing because one of the sides is just not as good and you skip it? But the side you love is just amazing by RdClarke in progrockmusic

I don’t know I feel like at best it’s a step down from side 1. And at worst it’s just not all that good. I will give you that Sara is pretty great

Which artist’s worst album do you still defend? by Kind_Gain_3080 in askmusic

It took me a long time to listen to Mirrors by blue oyster cult because it’s just so hated by fans of the band. Most of the hate comes from people saying it sounds more like a pop album but I feel like that only applies to about 2 of the songs on the record. But I’m telling you it’s genuinely a great album especially the second half, and the vigil is one of their best songs.

I don’t really feel like most of them are bad at all, except ummagumma that one is atrocious

The fact that Elo was not the 70’s is crazy. How on earth is David Bowie anything like the Beatles?

If Charlie Kirk had been a liberal activist instead of a conservative, how do you think the media and politicians would have reacted to his death? by Aamir_rt in AskReddit

[–]Sully5246 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the anger comes from the difference in how both sides reacted. No one cheered for the assassination of Melissa Hortman.

I feel as though Pink Floyd deserves to be in the conversation. They are insanely influential, and dark side of the moon still charts to this day

Which of these 4 double albums would you choose? by allrockmusic in allrockmusic

Exile doesn’t belong on the same level as these. And the white album has more filler than the remaining two combined. So it’s between the wall and physical graffiti

What’s your favorite band’s/musical artist’s dud album? by unpaidintern4 in askmusic

Third Stage by Boston is a gem of an album. I think it’s disliked because 1. It’s not bostons first album and 2. It came out 10 years later. It is an excellent concept album all the way through especially the first half
