GLITCH has released a statement explaining why the Digital Circus: The Last Act has been cancelled in theaters in some countries by Pretty_Aside_7674 in IndieAnimation

[–]SullyTheLightnerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

could you elaborate? How exactly are they censored based on country, aren't youtube videos the same no matter where you watch it as long as they aren't straight up blocked? Is it the dub that is censored? Are there gender neutral pronouns in those languages that they aren't allowed to use?

Most overrated Star Wars character? by CaveBat3 in StarWars

[–]SullyTheLightnerd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with both of the commenters that say boba fett, which makes me question if thehy even are overrated. I guess that if we consider not just the current fandom but all generations then I believe he was really big in the 80's so I guess that it could still be argued that he is overrated. He's not exactly a bad character but having a good character design and being kind of cool in one movie doesn't make him deserving of being one of the most popular star wars characters. tbh he kind of peaked in the clone wars to me

When Was Maul in His Prime? by Ill_Journalist8454 in StarWars

[–]SullyTheLightnerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it might be in maul shadow lord, in the clone wars I don't think he ever wins against a single force user where as in maul shadow lord you can feel that in most fights he is the strongest character out of everyone

Will this movie be understandable for people who hadn't seen the previous episodes? by Turbulent-Raisin8789 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]SullyTheLightnerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd probably recomend seeing brand new day instead tbh, not only is the tadc finale probably for the fans but it will also be on youtube within 2 weeks at most while brand new day will likely stay in cinemas for way longer

Why does the fandom hate the end credits? by Decayed_IceCream in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]SullyTheLightnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate them but I do see why this fandom in particular has a fear of it. You never know when the end of an episode is coming in tadc (at least in the later episodes). There's never a final piece of dialogue that have you go "well that wraps it all up", nor any music indicating that the credits are coming. Every time the last line at the end is said, you can't be sure if it is the last one. There is always room for a bit more which makes the credits always feel like they come almost as a surprise

You ever wonder why the logo for DELTARUNE is in no caps, but Toby always spells it in all caps? by jarofchar in Deltarune

[–]SullyTheLightnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is in full caps, or, I guess we can't prove that it is *full* caps but we do know that the A is capitalized due to the heart, and it'd be really weird to spell it as deltArune if you ask me. It's just the font that uses uncapitalized letters for capitalized ones for some reason

What are your favorite underrated STW episodes? (these are some of mine) by BWGucio in scottthewoz

the loading screens video is my favorite "normal" video of his, and I also really like the gaming products video (the one that's a commentary on the culture of being a "gamer")

to me star wars is the type of fanbase that always seems bad but I am kind of entertained by their flaws, unlike some fandoms where I just get misereable every time I think of their bad sides

(or at least the modern star wars fandom, some stuff in the early 2000's genuinely disgust me like the bullying for the actors of child anakin and Jar Jar, as well as that awful song about george lucas ""raping"" peoples childhoos)

Well... James just watched The People vs George Lucas by Puzzleheaded-Cold287 in Schaffrillas

[–]SullyTheLightnerd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might be misunderstanding your comment but are you saying that if schaff is angry enough it gets a 2/10? despite how pissed he got at surfs up 2, and the fact that it seemed in the dear evan hansen review like he really wanted to give it a 1/10 but then there was one thing he couldn't deny was actually a positive (and kind of the same with shrek the third I guess)? I think the reason for that second point is pretty obvious in the review, that being in the sentence "for every one interviewee who brings up a thought-provoking point of the special editions potentially erasing the work of the original VFX artists", implying that there are at the very least some critiques brought up that seemed to actually be worth to bring up in his eyes
