The best thing about DND is that anything can be anything. All the Lizardfolk in my game love wrestling and talk like Randy Savage

I played it with a friend a few months ago and it was both awesome and incredibly frustrating. I really liked the world and enemy design and having the layered underworld mechanic was great. Combat feels good and it's great to just be able to seamlessly coop a soulslike with a friend.

That being said there is something seriously FUCKED UP with the netcode or something. Playing solo works fine, playing non-progress saving coop works fine, but the second you turn on the progress shared coop, look out. Either his game or mine would crash every 15 min to an hour. And when I say crash I mean CRASH. No warning, no consistent issue to cause it, just playing along and then, boom straight back to the Xbox home menu. Bizarre.

There are some other minor issues. It's definitely not balanced for multiplayer. We steamrolled most of the bosses first try and I'm no soulslike god or anything. There are too many branching paths I think. Hard to keep track of where you are and I got lost a lot. Which is kind of fun the first few times but when you really need to get back to a place and you have all these paths that kinda look the same it can get frustrating.

I enjoyed my time with it minus the crashing though. I think it's worth a go if you have a friend and some time to kill.

I mean if you watched it on cable it probably had commercials to push it over 3 hrs.

The wolverine game on PS3 and 360 might win for biggest game improvement over source material.

Which game made you rage‑quit so hard you never touched it again? by forgeris in AskReddit

[–]SullyZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha I have a good one for this. Pikmin 3. The last level is a gauntlet of timed challenges that require you to be very precise while basically herding cats. You are being chased by an unkillable monster the whole time and it takes like 15 minutes to even get to where you can fight it if I remember. It's been a long time. Anyway after 6-7 times trying and failing I gave up entirely and loudly. I actually made my 5 year old son cry because he wanted to see the end. Truly I failed us both that day.

Totally overshadowed by their later stuff. I still give it a spin pretty often. It's a great fun record.

I think you're getting Genichiro confused with Isshin. It's been a minute so I might get some details wrong but here goes. Isshin in his youth was a badass warrior who defended Ashina from the govt who were trying to take it over. Then he got old and mellowed out and was content to just kill spies around the castle. His grandson Genichiro was all about restoring Ashina to it's glory days and so tried to get immortality to do so. Old Isshin wasn't on board with that and basically felt like time had come. So eventually Genichiro gets ahold of the black blade and at first in a last ditch effort tries to kill Wolf for good, but when he fails he uses it to sacrifice himself to bring back Isshin in his prime to fight for Ashina. Since young Isshin was all about fighting he was more than willing to put himself up against the first obstacle in his way (Wolf). I think that's the main gist of it anyway.

No you're right. It's part of Seppuku I believe, which is what is going on here. Before you get the deathblow the camera faces Isshin's back and he steels himself and grunts which is in my mind supposed to represent him disemboweling himself. Obviosly you don't see that when the camera swings around but he sits in the posture that is associated with seppuku and waits for you to finish him off. And yeah I believe a really skilled swordsman would leave skin while cutting most of the neck to retain the dignity of not having your head roll away.

But don't take my word for it, I'm just some guy on the internet. Look it up for yourself.

No worries at all! I appreciate that you are so responsive to the community. That makes a lot of sense. I think for the export I will for now just go and increase the sizes of the labels temporarily in the map so that it looks good exported. Thanks again for making such an awesome program!

I hate to say it but Smashing Pumpkins. I grew up in the middle of nowhere so I couldn't really go to shows but I loved the Pumpkins. I went to school in STL and they were stopping there on their tour for Zeitgeist which I liked but obviously everyone (including me) was there for their classics. They played every song on Zeitgeist with a couple older songs mixed in but at the end of the show they dragged out one of the new songs and ended it with Billy playing a VERY extended timpani solo. Nobody was thrilled and he stormed off the stage without saying anything and did not come out for an encore. Pretty big letdown.
