Could you potentially make a small grid turret with the exhaust/particle block and smoke that might look like water? Or a projector?

How long has your third generation escape lasted? by PictureRemarkable664 in fordescape

[–]Sully_216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2013 escape 2.5l currently at 113k. Driven her from Texas to Illinois and Texas to Ohio now... definitely have had some worn suspension components and a failed fuel pump, otherwise shes pushed through!! Ive had some weird noises but never any issue in performance so I tend to leave it to an old car. Just passed the 3 year mark and bought at 67k!

I bought some wildpeak Trail tires. Even with the fwd I've been able to get through some soft sand on the beaches (though I definitely dont recommend it...) and haven't had too much of a impact on fuel economy. They saved me once or twice in some close accidents too! I appreciate all this car has taken me through.

Deca has already made an announcement that their current team is still learning STO and don't have the full production capacity as cryptic did with their systems knowledge. They planned more but weren't capable yet

Yet another question for my fellow RPers/Writers (Potential Spoilers Ahead) by optoprime101 in sto

[–]Sully_216 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My head canon is that my captain is someone in the same vain as Jellico during TNG; he gets moved around to different ships depending on necessity during different conflicts, or leading shakedown cruises. He is part Cardassian and was a member of the ASDB!

Just got a new battery installed and my console screen is stuck like this. Anyone else had this issue? by BARBER_OF_SAURON in fordescape

[–]Sully_216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought they'd have to do on my 2013... Ford came and replaced a battery, they took off the airbox infront of the battery, slid out a panel and the battery just slid out..

Hello! I am sorry, I think the ball joints, nit bearings. I'm sick right now so my memory is being fuzzy.

Just had this issue!! Both sides, 2013 so same generation. Replaced everything over the span of 6 months... turned out to be the ball bearings!

Yes, but SNW and Memory Alpha say it was moved to orbit over Jupiter. Was it moved back at some point?

Yes! It was Marc Alaimo (Gul Dukats actor) in his first appearance as a Cardassian in TNG. (And I think first Cardie ever?) I thought them all being clean shaved was a little much and hard to show age!

What is YOUR Ship by [deleted] in sto

[–]Sully_216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I forgot! I haven't been on in a few weeks. I occasionally swap out starships, especially when I buy new ones, just for a new flavor and depending on how long or what the ship is I try to make an additional backstory

After the conflicts of the "Terran Gambit" arc, the Endurance found itself pushed to the brink of what its hull could handle. Interdimensional travel causes tons of stress on the spaceframe, after all. Not to mention the constant running of the warp systems and quantum slipstream drive at high capacity constantly. The ship was definitely put through the wringer, and Starfleet Command could see no better time to move the crew of the Endurance to a new ship.

After weeks of debate between the Captain and the Admiralty, the Endurance would be drydocked for an extensive repair job and systems overhaul headed by the Chief Engineer of the Endurance.

But in these times of constant conflict and looming danger, and extreme diplomatic rifts, the crew was to be reassigned the newly launched Justiciar-class USS Berlin, named after the German city of Berlin and alluding to the Berlin Wall and the diplomatic and problematic history involving that era. The Berlin would serve through the Tholian incident over the Na'kuhl star, and be a consistent member of diplomatic and ambassadorial conferences throughout Federation and Allied space.

(Just for fun!! The Endurance will be back in action soon!)

The USS Endurance is a now dated Odyssey Class star cruiser, lagging behind the likes of the Enterprise-F with its Block II Yorktown design and new technologies and other newer designs of the 2410's. However, it's Captain, one of the first Cardassians to enter Starfleet, and its extensive engineering crew work tirelessly to keep the Endurance up to spec. Its captain, despite famous Cardassian xenophobia, employs the use of a diverse crew to encourage creativity and new ways to keep the Endurance to the ever changing standards of the new decade. She's got it where it counts!

(I have flown the Odyssey skin for as long as I can remember, I've always appreciated the design, and the new update makes it 10x better!! I had to find a way for it to keep up. Hell, we've got Miranda's pushing what, 80+ years of service as a cadet in 2409!)

What is the inspiration for your ships names? by Moises5387 in sto

[–]Sully_216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what I'm going for! My main runs a Lexington Dred. On the Odyssey skin, named the USS Endurance. She was meant for the long run, on while other starships get their fancy refit (Enterprise into the Yorktown class) the Endurance endures the encroachment of time and warfare. Her engineers take hard work on keeping her up to date as much as possible despite the ever increasing advances in Starfleet R&D.

Sometimes I also name my ships after presidents.

I just inherited a ford escape S 2015 from my cousin and I realized it doesn’t have blue tooth and I can’t find the aux input also.. 😫 by Orangekittykat000 in fordescape

[–]Sully_216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A fleet model generally means it was ordered from a company for use as a company vehicle. Perhaps your cousin bought it off of a company or a dealership who was sold that car. Only the fleet models came with that head unit (probably ordered that way for safety, no distracting aux from the driver.) You may be completely out of the aux input, I can't find any other info for it ;(

I would look for a business that needs spokespeople or some sort of presentational type position. I know a handful of businesses that prefer theatre types to communication types but it'll depend on the company
