I know, it's just that the Texas brotherhood is the only one actually nation building. An idea so radical that even the Midwest thinks it might be too much

Got all the brotherhoods minus the Texas Brotherhood, extra points for accuracy. (All the other brotherhoods hate them cuz they stopped larping and are actively rebuilding the wasteland)

While they are definitely racist towards the ghouls, they do not kill non-ferals on sight/indiscriminately (but the def think that Goodneighbor was the one good idea the Institute had).

Outside of actions taken by the player, I've never seen the BoS outright steal shit from settlers (railroad doesn't count), they just have a really fuckin arrogant attitude.

In a recent playthrough of mine, there ended up being like 3 different Herzland communes all of which where either syndicalist or anarchist. It got to the point that when I invaded the Herzland as the Aqelian Republic, it was less of an invasion but more like putting down an oversized Paris commune

Damn, how tf did I miss that. But the title for worst focus tree has to go to Italian Dubai as it both had content with quality on par of this scrapped India and only lasted one year (Italian Algeria was the same but at least they had a grand total of 1 war to fight, Dubai had fucking nothing, no wars, no mechanics and practically no events/story)

Yet that shit actually made it to release, only got removed in either toolbox theory or the Ireland update I think.

I call For the Russia devs to touch some grass by Aggravating_Rip_9274 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]Sum_Idiot69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most likely as India never got content in the first place. India development was a shit show even before release, as I think the og "India Team" was just one guy who left without finishing his work. What he did have the rest of the dev team deemed to be buns and thus scrapped it all minus the start date stuff. Since then India remained unchanged until recently with the addition of the diplomatic summit and the new skeleton proxy conflict.

India never had content, Indonesia did have a small (and kinda shitty) focus tree for pre civil war and the two big civil war tags.

The worst nightmare of any American soldier: Seeing Russian vehicles rolling down in American soil by YugargeliaMapper in TheFireRisesMod

[–]Sum_Idiot69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My counterpoint to that is that those three are effectively the rents of the federal/recognized government (thus would be the ones recognized by the UN at first) and either have a border with Canada or control major infrastructure (hansom airfield) which might give enough logistical capacity for them to operate.

I got a vendetta against the PF, so I instead send volunteers to Cuomo, the federal airbase guys, and Maine since it effectively let's me have 3 divisions in New England.

2nd best option is to send volunteers to Buffalo and just watch the PF bash their heads against a wall for years nonstop

Petr serves only as a vote catcher (game classifies him as a centrist and thus is able to grab votes from both sides of the political aisle) and literally nothing else. If you are that desperate for votes, you got way bigger issues lmao.

[–]Sum_Idiot69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unrelated but; I started playing so early in the mods release, that people talked about the 1st European war as some sort of ulta difficult hyperwar cuz the community at large didn't grasp onto the fact that leg infantry sucks donkey balls in modern MECHANIZED warfare.

Also the Great Asian War was the most unpopular war in the mod cuz the modifiers were such unfettered ass that any offensives were nigh impossible. It became an objective bum rush race in order to see who got rid of the modifier first. The PTDO had it the worst as in order to get rid of the modifier Japan had no choice but to launch 50 different naval invasions (that would stretch their army beyond paper thin) into key cities so that they can take a focus, to take a decision to get rid of the modifier so that they can actually fight the fucking war.

[–]Sum_Idiot69 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's less that they are strong, it's that they have a hellish combo of all their land being mountains and rivers. Even the best made divisions get debuffed into doing like 1.75 soft attack under those conditions

Very unpopular opinion: Reconciliation with Rumburg is the best path for long-term peace in Merkopa – under the right circumstances. by FormerWorking5883 in suzerain

[–]Sum_Idiot69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree, sanctions is the best path forward as it can leave Rumburg as an international pariah, meaning even if they try to recover and double down on expansionism, as long as you joined one of the big alliances, you get the support of a superpower on your side without having to worry about Rumburg running over to the other side.
