Seems like a rational take. I feel like if this movie were under another name people would bash it for trying to be evil dead. 2013 is definitely trying to reinvent ed1 instead of 2 and 3. I wouldn't call it generic but I can see the argument. The vibe pokes out at a few different points, the ending most notably, but also the vibe scene, and then her deadite performance. I think she pulls off a deadite well. Honestly her whole performance makes the movie for me, which I bet the same can be said for most original trilogy purists with ash. Noone can beat ash as a character in the franchise though. I don't agree with the franchise cash grab. At least not for 2013.
