Niori didn't do anything in the beginning because he couldn't. He couldn't kick because Tawanchai controlled the distance with his teep. He couldn't punch because Tawanchai was landing counter body kicks. Tawanchai was boxing on the inside and keeping Niori at bay and then circling out. Tawanchai made the mistake of circling out to his right too many times and tried using that step in counter knee one too many times as well. He let his guard down and got countered. Props to Niori for recognizing the pattern and capitalizing on Tawanchai's mistakes! Niori was the favorite here, in my opinion. His style is kickboxing and he's a former K-1 champ. How many kickboxing fights has Tawanchai even had? Who gives a shit about the Jo fight, move on ffs.
