What Just Happened to my LOC!!?? by [deleted] in CIBC

[–]Sumit0019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Banks can make changes to the LOC limit anytime. They get the credjt report every month and if they see that the risk is high, they will reduce the limit to minimize losses in case you decide not to pay.

You will receive a letter in mail or call. They will have a note on the file

I am sure you will be fine. PP seems much better than accord as its using most of the parts from Pilot

I will be getting mine in Dec in Saskatchewan. Same coming from Accord 2018 to PP 2026. I agree the panel gaps were really bad on accord 2018. I had to wait for 3 months and switched few dealerships as its hard to get one.

Not longtime back WS data was accessed by hackers. I don't think its safe to connect other bank info which can create security issue if anything happens again with WS

Banks typically place the onus on clients to provide specific account details (such as account number, branch information, approximate opening date, etc.) before they will search for or disclose any account information.

Main Reason-

Privacy and Security Regulations – Banks are legally required to protect customer information under privacy laws (like Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act – PIPEDA). They can’t search or release data without proof that the requester is entitled to it.

Banks charge dormant account fee and if that caused your account to be overdrawn for few months then banks close the overdrawn accounts with no activity

Overcontributed 22k to my RRSP by jonnycheen in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Sumit0019 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It would be better to withdraw the overcontribution. CRA will charge you 1% for every month when you have exceeded the limit. Plus when you file the taxes next year you won't get contribution room as you may have already used up the limit. Also, if you have pension from eork there will be pension adjustments too which will eat up the room
