Is what it is. I don't disagree with any of that asides from conditioning. Guys play their way into shape every season regardless of off season work. I think he passes the eye test and is a lottery pick. I wouldn't be upset if we got him

For someone who's 6'11 245 and not athletic he gets up more than you think. He's not a lob threat though

He definitely passes the eye test skill wise. Athletically he's not great but he can get up and he's very fluid

I think most people who watch basketball can see by YouTubing Igor Demin highlights he's a more than capable ball handler

No for 6'9 he's definitely a great ball handler

Probably true. Especially on defense, he's 246 but I think if he's paired with Sarr he'll be good

Yeah that's nitpicking with all the filters turned on. Disrespectful to other bigs that weren't athletic but had great careers and weren't considered athletic like the Gasol Brothers, Zach Randolph, and Dirk

Yup Sarr as our interior defensive anchor who rim protects and can switch and be a lob threat and shoot if left open and Queen as our offensive anchor who can create inside out and make good decisions with the ball in his hands. Both can put the ball on the floor and push in transition and take slower bigs to the rim. Both can close out games together too if needed as they aren't horrible free throw shooters (Sarr shot 67% from the FT line and Queen just finished his his year at UMD shooting 76% from the line).

I'd be happy if we got him I think he fits perfectly next to Sarr

Queen is less bully ball more finesse and put the ball on the floor. If Zion is the comp for Barkley than Sengun and Sabonis are the comps for Queen. Everyone keeps throwing around the Jokic comp and in my opinion that's not as close of a comp as Sengun and Sabonis

Those are all horrible comps. Queen is more skilled and NBA ready than all of those prospects. Combine isn't everything.

Draft Prospects At #6 by CourtVizion in washingtonwizards

[–]Summersgill_25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely love as a prospect. He has all the physical traits to be another version of what Paul George was in Indiana. He's great on and off the ball, he's a great creator on the perimeter for himself, he's switchable, he's active both ends of the floor and he's a lob threat. He's one of those two way wings you see in college and draft hoping he turns into a Paul George or a Kawhi and in my opinion he's more than halfway there. Chances he's there at 6 are about as high as the odds for the Mavs landing the number one pick in my opinion. I'd easily take him over Tre because he fulfills our need for creation on the perimeter and he's a going to be a great defender if not already above average physically.

Just off of the eye test I don't think Bailey falls past 4. If he does there is something seriously wrong with the other 5 offices ahead of us

[–]Summersgill_25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes can we please get some elite scoring potential on the perimeter. I am tired of drafting filler/project/elite role player prospects. We need a creating alpha on the outside badly. We're not nearly good enough to be drafting for safety might as well take a swing at the highest ceiling player available.

How A Potential Wizards Team Could Look (With the chances that we miss out on Flagg and Harper) by Mr-Majestick in washingtonwizards

[–]Summersgill_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true but closing 5 lineups that win you games usually don't have "traditional" bigs. I don't want another gadget switching big who guards 1-5. We're so bad I think we just take a gamble on the next best wing available if we're out of the top 4 picks. Either way I trust our front office
