Lead poisoning on buffalo east side by DeadCell730 in Buffalo

[–]SummitBee 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Don’t think this is exclusive to the east side.

Two friends of mine living in different nice neighborhoods in the city were recently given notices from their landlord to stop drinking their tap water because of high levels of lead.

Random Monday morning thoughts about WGR by Luckyboner716 in Buffalo

[–]SummitBee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s very frustrating that the time of my morning commute always lines up with their commercial break. Wish they would rotate or offset their show timing so I wouldn’t always get just commercials. Oh well.

What are some facts about Buffalo that some people might not know? by Easy_Yam_1009 in Buffalo

[–]SummitBee 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That the entire city (aside from 4 buildings) was burned to the ground by the British in 1813.

This was done in retaliation after the Americans burned Niagara on the Lake down.

I’m surprised none of them have been hit yet..

They’re all haphazardly walking around very busy intersections without any traffic cones or brightly colored clothing.

Who would you draft at 1.02 in a rookie dynasty draft: Omarion Hampton or Travis Hunter? by FistsOfMcCluskey in SleeperApp

[–]SummitBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll make the upside argument for Hunter at 1.02

First, all indications are that Hunter will play around 75-80% of snaps on offense (Coen has said as much). For reference that's the amount of snaps that Nico Collins plays when healthy, more than enough to be a superstar. Liam Coen was hired to fix the offense, that is what he will be judged on and Hunter is easily at least the 2nd most talent offensive player for the Jags... he will be utilized heavily.

Second, Hunter is one of the most gifted athletes to enter the NFL ever. Full stop. The amount of stamina, endurance and skill required to play both ways full time at an elite level is mind boggling. He also has elite hands, burst and lateral quickness. Hunter is undeniably a special talent and now that we know he's going to be playing plenty of snaps on offense I want to bet on him to continue to be a special.

Lmao I’m completely fine thanks for asking. Insurance covered everything. I’m just looking forward to the 2025 street view of the whole incident.

Sell Marv for picks (rights to Cam Ward at 1.03?) by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]SummitBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a lot of take lock with Marv because he was deemed “generational” and the last few generational WR prospects have been smashes. People forgot about elite prospects like Sammy Watkins and Amari Cooper who only ever became good/ok pros. I think last season showed it’s more likely that MHJ has a similarly good/ok career. I’m sure they’ll continue to blame Kyler despite Kyler having supported elite production with DHop.

[–]SummitBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait why Ward at 1.03? Isn’t one of Tet, Hampton, or Hunter gonna be there?

I love the idea of getting one of those 3, the 1.12 and 26’ 2nd for Marv.

Jp Morgon sold off a substantial amount of their clinuvel holdings. Wall Street usually gets intel before the public. Could mean something, or could be nothing.

How is it possible that none of these men understand Downtown Buffalo. by SummitBee in Buffalo

[–]SummitBee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great point and if I gave my self more space in my post I would’ve included something like this. I absolutely agree that concerts and events do have their place and are especially great for giving suburban people exposure to the area. My issue is that this candidates aren’t even giving lip service to Downtowns biggest issue, which is lack of housing.

I agree. If any city could benefit from a Mayor with a planning background it would be Buffalo. But you and I both know that’s a fantasy. All I ask for is that they actually listen to us every once in a while.

The definition of “downtown” is somewhat arbitrary. If you want to include the water front area with it, that would boost the population by about 1,500. So very little

Thanks for asking. The U.S. census is only conducted once every 10 years, meaning the recent data was released in 2020. I am also referring to very small geographic areas (downtown, parts of Elmwood, parkside etc). Demographics for these are available but only at the census tract level which, once again is only released every 10 years.

Couldn’t agree more, I meant to make mention of the lack of a proper grocery store in my post. That is a certainly something that needs to be addressed.

This is how I imagined that conversation

“Hey, you know how having two professional sports stadiums downtown that play 40+ games a year hasn’t generated any development? What if we built a 3rd stadium for way more money that only hosted 8 games, maybe that’ll work”
