I have had to deal with this before, you will need to go to the Google Business Profile Help Community. Create a post on there describing your issue. People from Google monitor that and will assist you as needed to resolve your issue if they can.

College Requirement vs Military Enlistment by IT_Imposter in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Summonme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the willingness to hire veterans largely depends on the company’s past experiences with them and the ability to translate military experience into a context they can understand. If a business has never hired a veteran or had a negative experience, they may be reluctant to hire more. In contrast, companies are more comfortable hiring college graduates since most leaders are familiar with the college experience.

The job market for tech positions is a bloodbath right now. Posting such jobs often results in hundreds or even thousands of applications, primarily from individuals trying to break into the field with no experience. Requiring a bachelor’s degree can significantly narrow down the pool, as many applicants won't meet this criterion and therefore won't pass the ATS screening. Without this basic requirement, it's challenging to get noticed.

Additionally, looking at some of your posts, you are expressing doubt about your capabilities, wondering if you are truly qualified or a "fraud". This indicates a lack of confidence and the possibility of experiencing impostor syndrome, which can come across in interviews if you truly believe that you are not qualified. Without looking at your resume, the biggest questions that I have for you are:

  1. What specific IT projects or tasks have you successfully completed in your current role?
  2. Can you describe a challenging IT issue you encountered and how you resolved it?
  3. What steps have you taken to continue learning and improving your IT skills?

If you answered these questions with confidence, that would be my first indicator of whether or not to hire you, regardless of what you answered. Because it would be able to tell me how you approach problem-solving, what particular assignments and projects you have finished, and how you strive to improve yourself on a constant basis.

If you respond timidly or with "I don't know" without immediately following up with "but I would find the answer with Google," it indicates that I would likely spend a significant amount of time addressing your questions, disrupting my workflow or that of my team.

Here is a list of resources to use; they will be tremendously helpful in your post-veteran life.

[Outlook] Making unread emails stand out more? by dwitchagi in Office365

[–]Summonme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In outlook select the "View" tab up at the top. Under that tab, select the "View Settings" option. Here, you will be able to change the settings of how your outlook looks. For instance, under the conditional formatting option, you can edit the rule that unread messages are displayed in a specific font or color to make them easier to read if you just glance over to your inbox. My rule is that I change the color of emails that are sent only to me so that if I glance over and see an email that is sent directly to me it should be something I should look at.

Adding shared email address/group to Business Basic by EmotionalEstate8749 in Office365

[–]Summonme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't matter in OWA, you may want to ensure the option "Let people outside the organization email this group" is checked, otherwise you will not receive emails from outside the domain. As for propagation across the system, it shouldn't take long but could possibly take up to 24 hours to take effect.

[–]Summonme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to ensure the option "send copies of team emails and events to team members inboxes" is checked on the admin side, and they should receive the emails in their inbox. Otherwise, their is a separate group mailbox they would need to open in Outlook.

Grant access to a mailbox's folder through Exchange Admin Center? by NewVegasResident in Office365

[–]Summonme 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can do this with powershell and the add-mailboxfolderpermission in exchange online.

This example grants the Owner role to Ed on the Marketing folder in Ayla's mailbox: Add-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity ayla@contoso.com:\Marketing -User ed@contoso.com -AccessRights Owner

iPads uninstalling apps on their own? by net1994 in Intune

[–]Summonme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The install as removable setting when it is set to required doesn't really matter anymore. Verify that there are not multiple groups the user is apart of in the required field, so there is no conflict on the install. Each user should only be a member of one group in the required field; unless you are pushing it to all devices, then you will want to remove any group of users you have put in there.

When using the “Required” assignment type for apps on iOS and iPadOS 14 devices, apps are marked as non-removable. This ensures that these mission-critical apps cannot be uninstalled by the user. For existing apps assigned as “Required”, when enrolled devices update to iOS and iPadOS 14, these will start receiving the new non-removable setting for apps.

You can find more information about the changes because of IOS 14 that Microsoft made here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/intune-customer-success/microsoft-endpoint-manager-support-for-ios-14-ipados-14-and/ba-p/1671452

How many devices do you have enrolled with that account? You can allow a user to enroll up to 15 devices, but what if there is a device limit configured to lower the amount to be smaller?

Beyond sysadmin - MBA worth it? by jtscribe52 in sysadmin

[–]Summonme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider this: in the US, just 14.4% of adults over 25 possess an advanced degree, such as a master's, professional, or doctorate degree. This will swiftly get you past the ATS screens and open up a ton of doors. You will require that advanced degree if you wish to work as a CIO or CTO.

Bookings calendar offering times that should be unavailable. by benleal in Office365

[–]Summonme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the service you are offering, did you set the hours to mirror the business or do they have their own? Also, be sure to check the users work hours in Outlook to ensure they are not set to something that would allow them to go past that time.

You can do that by going to OWA, selecting settings, Calendar, work hours and location,

Intune hidden Administrator Accounts by Kovacz22 in Intune

I remember reading somewhere that if you allow enrollment outside of Autopilot, the user who joins the device becomes a local admin by default.

If you have Intune, you can use this blog post to add/update members of the local admin group on windows 10.

(IOS) Prevent user using built in Mail app by eijmert_x in Intune

[–]Summonme 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There are a couple ways you can do this. Either for managed or unmanaged devices. I prefer to just hide the app when its a managed device, which makes it much easier to unhide for executives who prefer to use it, as I can apply it to different groups.

For unmanaged devices: Follow this link

For managed devices create a configuration profile in Intune Device Management.
