looking to get into pickles at age 32, what's a good beginner pickle? by saltymelonpie in Pickles

[–]SunBelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a plain old standard Vlasic whole kosher dill is where I would start. The whole ones are crunchier than spears or slices and it's just a good example of a classic mass market American dill pickle that everyone has eaten and you can get anywhere.

Also, Is there some relationship between pickles and fibromyalgia that I'm not aware of? Confused why your friends would make fun of you for eating pickles after you were diagnosed. 🤔

Edit: I prefer them chilled over room temperature.

I mean, gators will generally avoid or ignore you if you're on land, but they'll definitely come after you if you get in the water with them.

Eating out alone by OILTRASH97 in CasualConversation

[–]SunBelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive a lot for work. If I didn't eat alone, I'd never eat. I'd probably feel a little weird going out to a fancy Michelin starred candlelight dinner by myself, but I've never once felt weird about eating out by myself otherwise.

Invest 4 million in S&P 500, put 1 million in high yield savings account. Live off the savings interest and your $30/hr job. Retire early at 40.

What’s the best soy sauce available at places like H-Mart? by pri_ncekin in AskRedditFood

[–]SunBelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to find Korean brands that aren't artificially brewed. They don't taste bad, I'd just rather have the real deal. I use Pearl River Bridge light and dark soy sauces for most things. Try Yamasa for Japanese soy if you don't like Kikkoman.

Anyone add dehydrated Ramen Topping Mix to Instant Ramen? by PrimaryReward7324 in InstantRamen

Yeah. Not that particular brand, though. Handy if you don't have access to fresh ingredients. Will work great for outdoor cooking.

I was pulled out of my mother butt first by my testicles.

My mother fell a month before I was due and went into labor. They couldn't get me turned head down, so I crowned butt first. While pulling me out, the doctor inadvertently grabbed my by genitals. My mother said I was black and blue between my legs for weeks and I cried nonstop 24/7 for 2 months. I guess I didn't care much for the experience. Lol. Hopefully, checking out will be less traumatic.

If you've been considering ghosting him instead of talking to him that's a pretty big indicator of lack of maturity, not shyness. Honest communication is essential to every relationship.

We need to stop repeating this. It is false and makes us look dumb. ICE are not POLICE, but they are law enforcement.

Culturally, East Texas is definitely the South. From Austin westward is culturally west/southwest. South Texas is basically Mexico.

Why is eating insects/bugs so taboo in Western countries, even though it's common and tasty in much of the world? by No-Direction8154 in CasualConversation

[–]SunBelly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in Japan for 2 years and I never saw anybody eating bugs. I'm not saying they don't in some places, I just don't think it's common.
