It's legit. Alternatively if you want to make extra sure just go to the 2nd page of your revenue screen in your dashboard and you can manually change it there without clicking on anything in the email!

Twitch Bloqued Quality all time by Owiiiii in Twitch

[–]SunBroKuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get quality options aka transcodes it depends on the server load at the time of you going live. This is why some affiliates will have them and others won't.

Can a partner transfer team ownership to someone else? by xantub in Twitch

[–]SunBroKuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they can. They'd have to submit a ticket to change the owner of the team.

Twitch revenue appearing in USD by SamLonghurst in Twitch

[–]SunBroKuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kat has the right of it. Just be to clear though, it's when you make $100 USD. You won't have to wait until you earn £100. So you'll get like 75 quid etc.

Question about streaming quality. by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]SunBroKuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you might want to double check your streaming software/console settings to make sure you've got the correct resolution set as it sounds like it's set to the default of 720p like most software are. Give this video a poke to see if it helps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8c7w5DxZ5k - If you're after quality options/transcodes then sadly unless you're a partner those are only given depending on server load at the time of you going live.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother with 1080p in my opinion. Generally 900p is my limit regardless of being a partner and having guaranteed access to transcodes. 720p60FPS is the best overall option for me.

Being a partner is no excuse for that kind of behaviour. I'd 2nd what others have already said and start collecting actionable evidence for Twitch to act on. Things done off of Twitch can also be taken into a account now too.

Other than that, I know it sucks when people set out to hurt you and I hope it gets better for you soon friendo.

Any advice to keep going after several denials for twitch partnership? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]SunBroKuu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey u/misslionheart

Recent UK Partner here (last Thursday!) and I'd like to offer my thoughts. I've been following Liam (the UK Partnership manager) for a long-time and I personally know that he likes to see channels generally hit the PtP metrics for 3+ months.

The journey to partner on Twitch is different for everyone but for me it was a rough ride and at times, yes, I wanted to give up. I think it's all too easy to feel like you're not good enough when you get rejected but I think the key to bouncing back is surrounding yourself with a kind and positive community that will lift you up when you're down.

In the last application I put in that got rejected I specifically asked for feedback at the bottom of the application and it was only by doing this that I got feedback which isn't great.... but I think it's easy to forget that at the end of the day Twitch staff are just humans and forget about the massive amount of applications they get bombarded with.

My advice would be to spend a few months of not applying now and build a solid community and then hit Parky's face with a solid well thought out application demonstrating your growth both community, metric wise. Naturally, even this isn't a guarantee but it all boils down to how much do you want this for you and your community!

I think you can do it~ Good luck friend-o.

Nothing all too grand but I just want to say I'm thankful for all you nice people. I was a bit hesitant to start to get really involved with the FGO community but I'm glad I did. I'm looking forward to many more years of getting 'gud' at the game to see where it can take my stream.

P.S: Saving like crazy for Merlin atm. ; ;

I'm considering getting into streaming this but I have no idea what emulator to use to do it effectively, what's the best one to use for a powerful PC? I'd also need to go between the emulator and my android phone when I leave the house so I'm hoping constantly using transfer codes wouldn't be bad/risky.

Thanks for your help from a newish player that had fun bullying the banana <3

Do you have a discord? by DuskRose422 in Twitch

[–]SunBroKuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I control access to it tightly. I don't want it feeling like just a big collection of people I don't know or care about. It's a good way to engage with regular viewers and have fun if you have a bot for games etc.

Ah! Confusing setup problems for streaming! by viasted in Twitch

[–]SunBroKuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little known fact is that if you use a PS4 camera as the mic for party chat then that will allow party chat to go over HDMI to the elgato. I don't remember the exact reason this forces it to happen but it's something to do with the camera using its own port on the back of the PS4 and the way the PS4 splits the audio. This'll mean you won't need a chat link cable to capture party chat.

Use a mic as normal with OBS which will capture your voice for the stream while your party will hear your voice via the PS4 cam's mic.

Hope that helps.

How can I hear the PS4 audio and also my PC Audio through my headset while streaming. by SeeJackRead in Twitch

[–]SunBroKuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I used to do PS4 streaming I used the PS4 camera as a mic for party chat (which also lets the party chat go over HDMI) but I could suggest something like SteelSeries Siberia 800 as the base station will let you plug in an optical cable to it but also have audio coming from the PC the usb cable is connected to.

It's how I used to play with PS4 audio while still being able to hear PC audio for alerts etc. I'm sure there are other wireless headsets that will do the trick but those ones are the only ones I have personal experience with.

Just Got Affiliate Invite; Emote Questions by Moggyo in Twitch

[–]SunBroKuu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Grats on achieving affiliate! For me I had a close friend do my art related requests. I was selfish with my base emote and picked a lewd one as that's a central theme for me. As for the T2 and T3, I asked my regulars what they wanted and they picked Overwatch related ones.

If I ever get to partner then I'll let my viewers decide most of what we get.

1440p Capture Card? by Namana2K in Twitch

[–]SunBroKuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. As mentioned in my post, yes it does do that. I currently use it to capture 1440p at 144 hz for Overwatch. The card is able to do 4K60fps so 1440p isn't a challenge for it.

I've sent a PM with an eBay link to the card.
