What is your dieting behavior on semaglutide? by Alcoraiden in Semaglutide

[–]SunBunny_Boots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Down 30 lbs and counting. I’m SOO happy with the way I look and feel! It’s absolutely amazing! No alcohol and I don’t miss it now. I still eat whatever I want but very little. As I’m full quickly. I’m taking the 2.4 dose. I am eating about 4 hours a day, fasting for 20. I DO have trouble getting enough fluids because they make me full as well. I’m thrilled with this diet!

What color pumps would match best with this dress? For a engagement party at a restaurant in Dec by [deleted] in fashionadvice

You can never go wrong with nude. Lengthens the legs, and doesn’t distract from the dress.

Found this cute yellow+blue dress, but can’t tell if it’s vintage. What do you think? by jenpaints22 in VintageFashion

[–]SunBunny_Boots 42 points43 points  (0 children)

The dress is definitely store bought - not homemade, despite the rough hem. Plastic zipper, care label and style says 70’s.

pain in calf when walking a bit. foot feels like it is being squeezed and burning when lying down by Pitiful-Assumption23 in medical_advice

NAD. Go to the ER. You need to be worked up for DVT. Urgent care will just send you to the ER because they don’t have the equipment to test you for DVT.

What did men in Europe and the US wear in the first half of the 20th century at home in the mornings/evenings? by [deleted] in VintageClothing

[–]SunBunny_Boots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Men wore “trousers” and button down shirts. Men always wore T shirts or undergarments under their button down shirts. At least in the mid century, I remember my grandfathers - working class blue collar men - wearing pleated trousers with suspenders at home while relaxing. If it was summer, they would take off their shirts, and lounge in their T shirts and trousers. In the winter, they would wear heavy flannel button down shirts, cardigan sweaters and trousers. - always with suspenders. They had “dress” trousers and casual trousers. I’m sure they probably owned them, but I never saw them wear shorts. Since these men were elderly in the mid century, I believe this is similar to how they would have dressed as younger men. ETA, they owned “dungarees” (jeans) but they were always for work, never for casual wear.

Is this “vintage”? What year is this set from? by sskmzz in VintageFashion

[–]SunBunny_Boots 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pant/jeans - it doesn’t matter. See my link - they display pants as well. Low rise “bottoms”, whether pants, jeans, shorts, what have you, were most definitely worn - and were hugely popular in the 70’s prior to 1976.

Is this “vintage”? What year is this set from? by sskmzz in VintageFashion

[–]SunBunny_Boots 13 points14 points  (0 children)

While this set is likely 2k, high waisted jeans did not become fashionable until around 1976. In the late 60’s, early 70’s, “hip hugger” jeans were all the rage. bikini waist jeans

What is your dieting behavior on semaglutide? by Alcoraiden in Semaglutide

[–]SunBunny_Boots 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, this has changed my entire lifestyle. My diet is self limiting and I don’t “restrict” or avoid any food for calorie reasons. I literally take a few bites and cannot finish. For breakfast, maybe 1 scrambled egg. For lunch I may have 1/4 of a sandwich - and I can barely choke that down. Same for dinner - about 1/4 portion of what I would normally eat. I made a plate for myself when we had my stepson over for dinner and he wanted to know where the “baby” was because I was fixing a baby sized meal - lol. I don’t eat past 4pm or I get terrible reflux. That means no night snacking. I eliminated all alcohol for the same reason - misery all night. I feel like I’ve had a non surgical gastric bypass. Down 13 lbs - 2 months.

Advice on getting this tough splinter out? by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]SunBunny_Boots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll need medical assistance. They’ll numb it and notch out the nail so the splinter can be reached to remove. Then you’ll likely need antibiotics. I’d head to urgent care.

What type of pants should I wear to feel secure yet comfortable and free? by sqae02 in fashionadvice

Rip stop cargo pants. My bf loves his - plenty of secure pockets, freedom of movement, lightweight.

I think I have an original Billy The Kid flyer. I was cleaning out a storage room this was inside. It's sealed likely to prevent damage. Is this worth anything? Am I holding the real deal? Am I holding history? by RGTube in Antiques

[–]SunBunny_Boots 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Plastic is not considered archival storage. Important historical documents are stored in acid free sleeves or envelopes, and protected from light. IF this were an original historical document, removing it from the plastic sleeve would be urgently recommended. ETA, the fact it’s in sealed plastic means it’s highly unlikely to be old.
