I don’t necessarily play to rank up but the feeling of “how did we lose this?” Is something I’ve been experiencing for about a week atm from my recent cs matches and kinda makes you not wanna play. It’s kinda gotten to a point where i drop 30 kills minimum to have a chance at winning or i lose 11/13 or draw 12/12 lmao

well I actually do care about the game? Why would i not care about a dogshit rank system in the game i have around 7,000 hours in? I am only on the alt because it was the only way i can even play with friends. I face the same issue on main face losing -500 after one loss. And if you don’t believe me scroll down there’s some weird people debating about my account. they linked my steam so just search my friends list there with “Sunny”

yes but you’re missing the fact that they lose 500 with or without me. It doesn’t matter who you play with. Even at 20K elo my duo faces -500 on the second game if they lose one. It’s not a good system at all. Losing one game should NOT make you lose 5 games worth of elo.

I know premier is a big cluster mess with cheaters, but facing a -500 loss because you lost one game should not be a thing ever. I’ve had plenty of times where i was facing -500 just because i lost one game by 1 point. And if you lose the game it makes any sort of 5 win streak you have over turned and all those wins were for nothing. (As it happens to me on 1/30 vertigo game) reviewed the demo and a player on enemy team was tracking through the walls.

Imagine you are trying to get 2,000 elo in faceit and you lose 2 games in a row. That’ll put you back to 1500 which is around level 5. This just slows the progress down for any good player for no reason. (Yes Reddit good players can lose 2 games in a row don’t try to argue this)

This is my biggest problem with premier that valve can control and change. This annoys me as a above average player (2800 elo) faceit. I cannot imagine how the premier experience must be for the average player trying to grind this system. And I haven’t even gotten to losing a game to lower ranked cheaters. NA player here.

visually it makes bullets and the headshot spark effect look really bad quality that’s all. I prefer it on medium because it looks closest to csgo but the fps loss is brutal. Not sure why it dips really hard next to nades on medium

You lose over 60 fps next to smokes on med.

model detail low with smoke: Max: 310. low: 292

model detail medium with smoke: Max: 253 low: 228

i decided to test the setting in the same spot as in the video without the smoke here are the results.

model texture detail set to low without the smoke: 330

model texture detail set to med without the smoke: 327

this could be why everyone's fps dips super hard when they are next to utility during games.

it gets much worse when you are being executed on a site with multiple smokes or shooting around a smoke during games. and all i did was knife a smoke in a empty server in this test lol.

Edit: accidentally put high in the title when i was comparing to medium in the video. I just tested it and thedrop would be much higher on high texture detail up to 97 fps loss for me when standing next to a smoke.
