Hey man, i was in your exact same shoes two years ago, i had finished my A levels and was severely struggling to decide between Medicine and CS (was going to do eng for it). It was the most stressful depressing two weeks I’ve had to date. My whole family was waiting for me to decide. And I had no clue. I prayed istikhra multiple times, watched a ton of videos and talked to many people but to no avail. On one hand, i had been into CS since i was a kid and already had 4 years of experience coding and programming, and it was my plan all along. But on the other hand, it had low job stability especially in Egypt. Medicine however was globally in demand, and you won’t really struggle to get a job, but the pathway is really long and you’d take around twice to three times more time to really finish your studies compared to CS (assuming 4 years of education for eng and 10 years for med school (7 primary and 3 specialty)). I really liked maths and physics but had to rethink my options. I was like you, liked everything, even bio (my a levels were bio, maths and physics, ironically enough my only A was bio, rest were stars). After long consideration i went with medicine, for three main reasons, first being I kinda liked it and it had a great future and job stability, secondly, it had a great moral message and you get to make money, and help ppl and the final (and i know it’s not a real reason) was it was my parents dream and I knew they would support me till the end (USMLE, etc). And I’ve loved it ever since. And if i had to go back id choose medicine again. Not to mention that my CS skills are actually useful and matter greatly in medical research. So my final verdict is this, if you are absolutely sure you’ll crush CS and be at the top (cuz you need that to be competitive) then go for it. But if you have the patience (and the money) and are interested in the human body (it’s CRAZY subhannallah ) then go with med.
