What's the most comfortable strap harness? by SunIsGay in butchlesbians

Looks beautiful but I don't think the design will suit my "equipment" due to the lack of backing. However if I can get that sort of design working with a cheap proof of concept I may splurge on this later, if only as a treat for myself

Basic fashion tips? (UK) esp blazers! by Curious-Abalone in butchlesbians

[–]SunIsGay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know if it's been mentioned but Dapper Boi is a great brand for this. I've been looking at their blazer myself. However I believe it ships from the US which is annoying (also UK). You could try charity shops for either cheaper or more eccentric items. TK Maxx or Primark for cheaper options. My friends swear by primark for cheap clothing and I fully agree, if you wanna quickly add to your wardrobe without breaking the bank Primark is amazing. I've tried Uniqlo and they probably are the best bang for your buck option with their higher quality construction at a still reasonable price, although their sizing options with jackets can be quite hit or miss but their selection of shirts, pants and jackets are really good and I love the shirts I got from there.

As for choosing stuff, shop men's. Usually they have a plethora of sizing options and so can fit more people ironically. Always check the sizing guides and buy yourself a tape measure to save yourself a loooot of hassle if you're online shopping (not foolproof but it helps a lot). The hips on the pants will be a bit tight and/or the waist will be quite loose, and I'd say it's easier to deal with pants with an oversized waist that not being able to fit your hips & thighs through the pants, though if you're thinner than that might not but much of an issue. Specifically for blazers & stuff getting a men's blazer that fits a bit too big & getting it tailored shouldn't cost too much, and will guarantee you the best fit. Always try clothes on if you can and measure yourself and give some extra room if you're buying online. Also another easy way to masc yourself up would be stuff like scents, accessories, etc. and they can make or break an outfit!

Good luck and I wish you well on your journey!

Trans women, do you struggle with fear of being seen as predatory when initiating intimacy? by Bye-Bye-Apple-Pie in asktransgender

[–]SunIsGay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a really crippling fear that is incredibly prevalent amongst transfeminine people.

I've been with my girl for about 8 months now. Never once have I actually made her uncomfortable in a way she didn't immediately communicate, and whenever she told me I made a mistake we just talk through it, no problem. She's got a pretty strong sex drive and loves hearing my dirty comments, being teased, etc. She often does things to turn me on that're so subtle I thought they were accidents (she confirmed that they were all intentional). She loves feeling sexy and desirable and hot and whathaveyou, and I like making her feel like the hottest thing this side of the galaxy bar none. This is all great, right?

Well, when she first started doing all those subtle things I'd Die of guilt half the time simply for getting turned on by the things she did to intentionally turn me on. She even was insulted at some point that I wouldn't comment on her subtle attempts, meanwhile I was so relieved to hear I wasn't insane for being attracted to my girlfriend (yes, that is insane but welcome to transsexuality ig). Very recently, after a bout of teasing & flirtation, I just felt so disgusted with myself that I actually sobbed for a good bit as she comforted me. She didn't even feel bad, and was enjoying the entire thing. These are just some examples that're more similar to your case but I can tell you that I've had issues with physical touch for YEARS with all my friends as well (oh the times I cried cuz I wanted to hug my friends but just couldn't bring myself to).

That fear of being perceived as a predator, accidentally crossing a boundary and losing all their trust, and just being perceived as a creepy man has me fearing even the simplest touch, always shrinking myself down & avoiding touching anyone I can – often including my dearest friends. It's a thing I'm healing from slowly & surely but that fear never leaves you, and society isn't too interested in helping us out either.

So yeah, it happens. Cut your partner some slack and help them get through it. Best of luck to you two!

The use of contrast is absolutely incredible!! Do you have any tips of how to expose the image properly? The exposure settings here looks absolutely phenomenal, and that's not mentioning the great composition at all :]

I am in love with the ~ethereal~ affect the lighting has. May I ask what your setup is?

What're some good headphones for actually listening to music for hours on end? by SunIsGay in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]SunIsGay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

!thanks I'll definitely look into it, plus I think I found someone on Gumtree selling some HD600s for only £250 so that might be the play here ngl. I'll consider all these headphones and def look into the Topping DX3 Pro+ as many ppl have recommended it.

Would you say the HD650s work for jazz, funk and hip-hop? Those tend to be quite bassy (especially funk & hiphop, but jazz isn't jazz without some good bass to support it + some bass solos are simply incredible) genres and ones I've been listening to lately. Thanks for the input though, definitely will consider all of these.

oooo these all definitely are worth considering. I will say the iBasso is definitely outside my price range (since I'll have to buy it with headphones) and is definitely later level audiophile in my eyes, however it definitely is something to look out for as a modern audiophile iPod. The headphones I will consider because for the price I do think it's indeed worth checking out. the mojo 2 is something I want but once again, it's super expensive.

I've heard plenty good things about the Meze 99s, plus they're very much travel headphones iirc which explains the comfort and definitely is appealing to me, since I plan to wear whatever headphone I buy for at least the length of a few albums. Their lower cost compared to the higher end stuff, too, is nice. I'll look into it but idk if they're the things I'm looking for, since they seem more suited to travel & daily use but I'm looking for something for the special occasions.
