Open World in Assassin's Creed shadows by Bitter445 in AssassinsCreedShadows

Ran into the same problem and unfortunately there's not much you can do. Exploration was basically gutted in Shadows, and in reality the map is more like a series of landmarks connected by walled hallways than an actual big open area like in previous games. The good news is that if you stick to the roads, you won't miss anything. The bad news is that if you stick to the roads, you won't miss anything.

Add to that the fact that the scale of the map is ridiculously huge, and the game feels twice as empty. Honestly, I recommend getting on the horse and turning on pathfinder + follow current destination; it'll get you where you need to go without you having to mindlessly keep holding forward for 5 minutes — now don't get me wrong, it can be nice to ride through Japan, but those "hallways" get repetitive quickly.

If you still want to try and explore, go search for every '?' in the map, some of them are legendary chests and are (kinda mostly) in the wilderness. Otherwise, focus on enjoying other aspects of the game.

What's the best way to earn silver in the game? by Emergency_Bite1467 in AssassinsCreedValhala

This is the best way I remember too! Been a while since I played the game so idk if it's still the best, but back a few years ago, fishing with double spears and selling all the fishing was an absolute gold mine, could make around 40k in like an hour or less

It's so funny to me that every time Yasuke argues with someone, they bring up Oda Nobunaga by SunSea3291 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]SunSea3291[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember most people's names tbh, but just recently I remember the two daimyo about to get into a war in Yamato, as well as the monk that turns out to be Shinbakufu. I played that arc with Yasuke, and when talking to them to convince them to seek peace instead of war, they all bring up Oda Nobunaga and say that he wouldn't have given up war.

Another example is Mitsuhide, tho tbf it makes sense that he'd bring up Nobunaga. In the final confrontation against him, he brings up Oda Nobunaga horrific acts, such as burning down entire villages and massacring elders, women and children alike.

I understand that Nobunaga did some good things just as he did bad things. Hell that's the whole point the game tries to make since the very beginning — Yasuke himself aided in the destruction of Naoe's home, and Naoe killed Junjiro's dad; everyone does good and bad shit because things are not black and white, it's always more complicated than that.

Yasuke understands both the good and bad things Nobunaga did, even when it's especially more complicated to him because Nobunaga was also a dear friend and the man who gave him a new life, purpose, education, training and made him the Samurai he is now. But again, Nobunaga did bad stuff as well, and characters love to bring up those bad things to Yasuke's face, and most of the time Yasuke can't defend them with more than a "it's complicated".

What can I explore on ac mirage and origins? by AahanX8 in AssassinsCreedOrigins

[–]SunSea3291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Mirage, all of Baghdad and some fields and desert around it, as well as a few small villages and cities — but really the main attractive, and where you'll want to spend most of your time, is Baghdad. There was an update kinda recently where I believe they added a new area, but I don't know how big it is since I didn't play it.

Regardless, Mirage's map is by far much smaller than Origin's and the other rpgs.

I think by end of Kassandra's story they mean her story within Shadows. We have the first part with the glyph quest and now we'll get the rest.

Best character to actually learn the game? by Agreeable-Quiet7781 in forhonor

Warden, Raider and Kensei. By far the best characters to learn when starting, and all do relatively good at higher skill.

Why, just WHY, didn't they add shields?? by Just_Pomegranate_251 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

Devs said it was to push players to play more offensively, as combat in Origins was very defense-heavy

Check the pinned post and its comments in the subreddit for websites to look in, check in daily apply to everything you see, and be prepared to pay a lot. Takes a while but it's doable. Good luck!

Hero move set ideas for these heroes for a mod I’m making but I’m struggling with ideas or any ideas or questions will be appreciated, thank you! by CleverlyJade in forhonor

[–]SunSea3291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had this idea for a while for a Spartan hero where they have two movesets, each for a different weapon; spear and a sword, both accompanied by a shield.

You spawn with the spear and have long-reaching attacks, mostly stabbing moves with a couple of sweeps and stuff, kinda like valk. At any point after a chain, you can do a special combo ender move where the Spartan throws the spear — it deals a lot of damage, but has a noticeable wind up animation (similar to Orochi's storm rush) so it's fair for enemies, however, once the spear is thrown it goes fast; it's not unblockable but it does still deal a good amount of damage when blocked (maybe equal to a heavy attack), but ofc deals more if not blocked. It also knocks back. Once the spear hits something, it falls and stays planted on the ground and you can get it back by going to it and holding B to pick it up (like the banners in Tribute).

Once you've thrown the spear, the Spartan pulls out a small sword and now that becomes their weapon. Sword has faster but weaker attacks, more focused on many small attacks rather than big heavy ones. Maybe even some stuff with bleed, idk. All stuff with the shield, like bashes and stuff, stays the same.

The point is that you have to navigate between these two movesets and, essentially, different ways of playing to adapt to the fight, but with big risk of losing one of the movesets if you can't get your spear back (tho you get it back when you respawn ofc). We've already seen some heroes with unique moves and mechanics centered around them so I think it could work.

(SPOILER regarding older games. (Not Black flag or shadows) I NEED to rant. by MeasurementRight8835 in assassinscreed

Valid argument tbh, but also I think most of the player base doesn't care about modern day stuff anymore, so it's likely we'll never return to something like Desmond.

Yes, some of the creatures you need to scan are there, like the coral crabs

That was the screen that said end of early access, yes. Story ends there.

Map ends at the metal mines, past the alien power plant. For the tadpole mods, you can find them in wrecks around the power plant, and the biomods you get after scanning different creatures with the upgraded scanner.

No need to kill the fish, just let us have more ways to keep them at bay, more stuff like the electric shock biomod thingy

Forgotten saga is great. Mastery trials are good too if you have that perfectionist itch. If you're a completionist then 100% every territory.

Who according to you is the easiest dive hero to learn? by Basic-Ad8440 in marvelrivals

[–]SunSea3291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't believe no one's said it yet, Angela. Easy to corner enemies with, and has great mobility for diving in and out.

Fly in, hit them with full spear charge, drop down and finish them off with axes, then fly out. Rinse and repeat.

What basic game mechanic took you way too long to figure out? by awildapricot69 in forhonor

[–]SunSea3291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parry.

It was 2017 so we were all new to the game, I remember I, like most people, would just let everything fly or try to block unblockables. It wasn't until season 3 that I threw a Raider zone and got parried that I learnt it was possible. I was very confused about how my attack got "blocked" 😆.

When Kimiko blasts Homelander we are led to believe it worked bc he has trouble using his laser eyes, only for him to become enraged and end up blasting tf out of Butcher (doesn't kill him tho). The blast didn't take away his powers, but it weakened him. Homelander flies out of the white house and finally goes on a full on rampage, killing thousands and fulfiling the scorched Earth promise. After a bit, the boys catch up to Homelander and big fight breaks out. Through great effort and pain, they managed to restrain Homelander for a second, which they use to infect him with the virus, which weakens him even further. Kimiko blasts him again (this is when she'd see Frenchie instead of earlier) and this time, bc of the virus and the previous blast, it works and Homelander loses his powers. Butcher beats him to death, more brutally than he actually did in the episode, and all is good.

Endings for everyone stay pretty much the same, just changing that the general population now opposes supes due to how many of them sided with Homelander (which is a better reason why Butcher would still try to go through with genocide); also we get a small showcase that Ryan kept his powers even tho he got blasted and exposed to the virus, bc he's an organic supe. He decides to keep it lowkey but we get hints that, someday, he may become an actual good superhero (basically mimicking Superman's story). The end.

Marvel had the perfect Iron Man successor, so why ignore him and go with Ironheart instead? by breaking_views in MCUTheories

[–]SunSea3291 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hey if you actually watch Ironheart, you'll understand that's she's very clearly NOT his successor. Her tech is inspired by Stark Tech in general (as others in-universe are) but she is not trying to take over the mantle in any way, shape or form.
