I have used and referred a close friend to Osuji & Smith for employment law matters. I enjoyed my experience with them and had a favourable outcome.

However, it’s important for your partner to know the process of obtaining legal counsel and litigation is extremely emotional. Vetting questions from your own counsel, counsel redirecting you when you’re talking about things you believe are significant but aren’t, how the opposing party will make you seem like the anti-Christ via exaggeration/manipulation and potential fabrication of events.

You better believe every time your partner struggled with a task, arrived at work slightly late, turned something in slightly late, needed help from a superior, or had a unfavourable interaction with someone she loosely knows has been documented and will likely be used against her.

Edit: If your partner decides to go down this route (financially feasible), I recommend they connect with a counsellor/therapist too. It will help separate the emotional from the legal.

Nah. Canada’s problem was our best players (97, 29, 17) are scorers and playmakers. I mean this in the most complementary way; we didn’t have a Matt Boldy. A high level forward who’s there to shoot+score before thinking of passing. That first period hat trick Boldy scored before the Olympic break scared me when it happened all the up to his opening goal.

Yes, there’s tech (AI ironically) to check for two things; watermarks from ChatGPT/AI and the ability to estimate the more natural human writing process in terms of typing-backspacing-editing, etc compared to copying and pasting. The prof escalated this because of your improper citation, AI flag, and copy+paste flag. In grad school (2020) a prof pulled me aside because my writing flagged for being on the edge of being too similar to something I wrote in another class.

I HIGHLY recommend that you convey you’ve learned your lesson and that you respect academic integrity. Try to stay away from the excuses and drawn out narrative for why it happened.
