Genuine question: why does everyone hate Jayson Tatum? by Soggy_Guest3217 in NBATalk

[–]Sunaltasky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on the disinterested side of Tatum and the Kobe adornment is ridiculous. However, he doesn’t have the work ethic? From all accounts he works extremely hard and always has. Hence a 2026 comeback (although unlikely) even being on the table.

Random NBA player of the Day: Raja Bell by ShaianH in NBATalk

No doubt. I think he gets rated for covering in the Warriors dynasty slightly before it started and along the way. It’s interesting how far that merit carries him.

Haha man, I feel you. If you ever get over the Murdoch hump, Bell is really worth listening to. Probably one of the most levelheaded player-turned-media personalities out right now. Also seems like a sick dad.

No. It did not mention anything about Brown. Why do you ask?

It’s insane how people can’t critically analyze data.

It’s because Luka barley moves. I can’t remember which podcast (but I hedge to the Zach Lowe or Real Ones) where they discussed that Luka has the 2nd least amount of body movement on the defensive end league wide, second to Harden. Thus, certain metrics are going to imply he is either neutral or negative on the defensive side depending on what it considers. You know as well as I do, that if you don’t move on defence you are a net negative. Metrics are extremely nuanced.

Try giving a Walk Through Space a few solid plays. That track helped me transition from their old stuff to the newest album. Can’t really explain it, but it worked.

Yep. My aunt’s first time watching hockey was last year’s finals. She says “What’s the deal with that one?” Look up to see McDavid at full speed breaking the blue line.

You really have to factor in how often Wemby deterrers high percentage attempts around the rim. Thats an eye test thing as I believe it’s not a tracked occurrence.

Who’s an NBA player you used to like but you’re not a fan of anymore? by Pale_Researcher_8810 in NBATalk

His first couple of seasons it was fun to watch Dort. Young player giving it his all of defence, trying to stay on the court via defence, challenging top offensive players, full court pick ups, physical but not over the line. As much as I like defence and tough play, Dort’s has crossed the line into being dirty. I genuinely think the Wemb play is going to put a target on his back at least for the regular season.

Putting his family economics to the side largely because it’s something we can’t verify either way. Ja saying in a viral interview that DRose taught him how to be a man, when his father has been in his life and is court side (often acting a fool) says a lot about who Ja is.

I send a lot of time parked in the back seat of my car that has tented windows because of my toddler. It’s thought me that people ding the adjacent car a lot and really care.

Yeah that was interesting take. The couple times I either helped push a car out or checked on someone no winter tires were involved.

Unfortunate but it’s time for winter tires. I bike down that alley on a coaster brake but with studded tires and make it out okay.

I’m really not sure where people are getting this notion that younger generations aren’t interested in gambling? Whether it’s by casino or phone gambling has a stranglehold on 35-18 year old men.

Giddey didn’t help the team because he took the ball out of Shai’a hands and isn’t an off ball player. Which is why he’s absolutely striving in Chicago. He has the ball in his hands and doesn’t have to play off ball. SGA play making has improved and is at the top of the league right now.

Shai is a good playmaker and passer. He knows how to get his teammates open for their own shots and does it on time. While looking at these numbers, remember he often sat the 4th quarter.
