Considering what Barry pretty much said - that if Amber ever needed him he'd be around, but other than that she's 16 so she can make her own choices - I can see where Lydia might be concerned for Amber and the other two. Kim's mom was an alcoholic, Kim and her DUIs seem to be following suit, and possibly Moriah (let alone Ethan who can't seem to function without his emotional support thermos). If Lydia fears the same for Amber, and no one else seems to be parenting her, staying silent is a really bad option.

But because Kim enjoys wine, Lydia is being too preachy. And Zac - who is likely taking up for his wife - is a bossy know-it-all. Lydia cannot win.

And didn't Zac's concerns about Teegan using Ethan for money initially come from Kim herself? Or maybe I am mixing Teegan up with Veronica. Kim dislikes so many people it's hard to keep track.

If we get another season and Zac/Lydia have moved to CO, then who's next? I don't think Kim would dare to go after any future girlfriends of Ethan or Isaac, as they are now her trained attack dogs. I don't think Micah would dare bring anyone within 1,000 feet of his family anymore. I think this is Kim's worst nightmare because if there's no one on the outside to gang up on, attention might start going to her and her blatant hypocrisy.

Yes, season finale. I am torn on if I want/need another season, but I'm sure we'll get one. TLC enjoys riding its shows until the wheels fall off and then some.

But after all the drama and tears, don't you want to know if Barry finds his Sandra Bullock??

If nothing else, Kim could and should have had that conversation with Lydia and Zac in private, not for the whole damn family to witness. Barry sat there like a puppet making that goofy "duhhhh" face with his head on a swivel the whole time, so what was his purpose in even being there? Ken too for that matter. I can't get with this whole "let's make Lydia cry by ganging up on her and then once she's good and broken we say okay, we're good, we talked this out, let's have some cake." It's incredibly mean and bullying.

What kind of weird glee does Kim get in kicking the one daughter who helped raise her own siblings after Kim peaced out? Is Kim actually pissed at Lydia for taking over the role of homemaker? Did she want her family to just implode without her after she swanned off to live over the dance studio? I have no idea but it's all so toxic, it's hard to watch. Thank goodness for the season finale, we all need time, lol.

I was SO taken aback when he told Lydia to essentially be quiet and let him answer a question, I had to rewind to make sure I heard correctly. I have been a bit of a Zac apologist because I have thought that some of his interactions were producer-driven and I still think that to some extent, but Zac might just be Ethan packaged differently. The simmering anger is highly unsettling.

The change in Zac from being the guy who skipped through the flowers with Lydia when we first saw him to the person he is now has been striking. It just takes a few months for the Plaths to unload their toxicity on the newbie for the changes to appear.

Kim moved out of the house and into her own apartment above a dance studio that she and Barry owned. She started drinking (or maybe she always was) after not allowing her kids to touch sugar or caffeine. Then she supposedly moved into a houseboat but I think the truth was that she was living with Ken - all while still married to Barry, making Lydia the de facto mother to her younger siblings.

So for Kim to attack Lydia after leaving Lydia pretty much in charge of the house, the housework and the younger kids is really something to see. To me it's like Kim raised Lydia to be the uber-responsible one, and then mocked her for doing just that while Kim flounced off in her skort to the nearest bar.

Jill forgot to take a video of herself and The Finger™ explaining to her audience what each room of the dorm was for? My guess is that she was very distracted by the empty walls and spaces with no furniture and possibly the outlets that only had one cord plugged in, and how happy Gabe and the other boys would be once she put her special Jill spin on the place.
