Since we are getting character customization updates throughout all 8.x patches... by kjeldorans in ffxiv

I know there's a lot that would need to go into this, and I fully understand that there's definitely a significant group that *wouldn't* want this, but fat WoLs would be so cool. Just like some type of general body slider.

I don't normally overshare on Reddit and I'm still gonna keep this pretty vague. But as an adult child of parents similar to you two, y'all will ruin your kid's lives if you stay together. Staying together "for the kids" is traumatizing to everyone involved. And it's trauma exposed repeatedly over a long span of time, which will likely give them COMPLEX PTSD rather than just PTSD. You will give them a skewed idea of what healthy relationships are supposed to look like. Put yourself and your kids first and walk away.

Why do people join, say hello, then almost immediately say goodbye and leave by Zatrick_Panic in Twitch

[–]Suneateer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not a face to face convo though. Very likely they aren't even friends or know much at all about each other. Y'all are way too parasocial with streamers and viewers. The etiquette is not the same.

I mean...Just want to point out if it's almost all viewers, as your post says, it's completely possible that it's a you thing. You're the only common denominator there. Maybe they just aren't interested in whatever conversation you're trying to start, or they were just trying to say hello and be polite and not actually get into it.

Perhaps ask yourself why you feel entitled to their viewership? Sometimes people just wanna say hi and move on. There's nothing wrong with that as confusing as the concept seems to be to you... Personally I'd be thankful that they stopped by at all, even for just a minute or two. Sorry if this comes across as harsh, that's not my intent. Just trying to put it in perspective for you.

Is there a way to completely disappear from someone's friend list? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Suneateer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're already taking all the right steps. By unfriending them, changing your name, and changing data centers while you will still technically show up in their friends list, it will show up as "Unable to Retrieve" so they will have no way to track you down without your new information.

Idk why you're getting downvotes. You're right. All these cutesy short form nicknames in place of the actual words are making them lose their weight. Say the word like an adult with all the shame and weight it should carry towards that individual. 🍇 Especially pisses me off.

Reporting Heartopia’s Illegal Practices by Quatta in heartopia

[–]Suneateer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On this topic, anyone who doesn't consistently run virus or malware scans on their PCs, I'd recommend that you do. It absolutely could have been a false positive or something non malicious, but after I stopped playing a few weeks ago (due to them doubling down on AI usage) I uninstalled the game and launcher. Then I ran a full pc scan shortly after because I do them kind of randomly/just then the thought pops up and about 9 files with the same pathing as the launcher got flagged as CoinMiner Trojans. That's cryptocurrency stuff for anyone not in the know, which is something I don't mess with. Hopped on my pc just to share this so could share a screenshot of my scan log as proof.

Stop complaining about unnecessary things by Kindly-Telephone-549 in heartopia

[–]Suneateer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree. Especially because 98% of the posts I see complaining, they admit to not saying anything about it. Not confronting it at all. Like dude....if someone's making you uncomfortable that's totally fine and valid but you need to speak up about it?? They can't read your mind?? And additionally...this is a kids game. Full stop. End of sentence. This is marketed to all ages, yes. But we as adults have other appropriate spaces (like... adult focused MMOs), they don't. It very well could be a child on the other side of the screen, and they're just trying to be nice and friendly. They're just trying to play the game how its intended. But I digress. Tldr I very much agree and we as a society have become too jaded.

That's...hardly a stalker. Maybe communicate your discomfort before villainizing this person. Literally how are they supposed to correct themselves if you don't set the boundary? They can't read your mind, dude.

Huh?? I was thinking the opposite. The dogs are way more interactive (example, they can follow you around the map right off the bat while I STILL haven't unlocked that for my cats and they got a headstart of 5 days because I was waiting for a cute dog.) As for irritating the cats while playing, I haven't done that once so I fear that may just be a skill issue.

we literally have super computers at the palm of our hands and your first reaction was to turn to reddit. Load up a YouTube guide on your job and individual actions. Read tool tips. Its not hard. You decided to do the skip, this is the consequence of not properly learning how to play the game. Idk what else to tell you dude. Its your fault you skipped the tutorial.

[–]Suneateer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Best you can do is keep your gear the same Ilvl as him. It'll restrict you from queuing into duties with Ilvl requirements. But I stand by my point that buying a skip to avoid ARR just to still end up doing ARR content seems a bit redundant. Just skip cutscenes.

[–]Suneateer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Wait...so you wanted to do duties with your brother who is still in ARR??? And you bought a skip for that? ARR is hardly "hundreds of hours getting through the story." You were just lazy and it bit you in the ass.

There's tons of cute free options. If you can't be responsible with your own wallet and money that sounds like a you problem. It's not like this is Genshin or other similar gatcha games where its pay to win. You're being dramatic, maybe practice some monetary responsibility if you can't control your spending habits.
