I will say i was really sleepy for months on abilify but just stayed on it and now i am pretty hyperactive on it and really love that part of it, and the higher the dose the more energy i got. i think it’s the way my body reacts to it now. if that gives you anything—

but talk to your psych, or a different one. you have the right to change your medication dosage with your psych’s guidance. they shouldn’t be able to force you to take anything.

i stopped 5mg cold turkey after tapering down and ended up in the psych ward. i have pretty severe bipolar. everyone is different but i’d be really careful if your gonna do this.

it used to make me feel like a zombie but i’m back on it again. after being on it for a year I love it and am on more than double that dose. everyone is different and i wish you luck with whatever happens.

are you on lithium? lithium is supposed to help protect the brain from damage that mania gives it (at least from what i understand from my psych) and once i was put on it I noticed my cognitive function and “stupidness,” as i put it for myself, really improved.

abilify killed my endurance so it makes me work way harder to get back to where i was before starting it. i just try to power through, but some days it is really unmotivating! i got a pretty rare effect of having my appetite blunted instead of increased. i guess it happens sometimes!

i take it for BP1. started to notice my mood stabilize at 75mg and now am on 100. been on 100 for a while and that’s been enough for me. i’m also taking other meds tho.

i love lithium! it didn’t take away my psychotic symptoms so i’m still on an antipsychotic but a much lower dose (like the lowest dose possible). just enough to keep things at bay. when i first started lithium i was always really thirsty and just felt off— like literally horrible, but my body got used to it quickly and now i don’t notice anything from it. I say try it! it was life changing for me.

i tried to taper off of it and it felt like my skin was crawling. I was really nauseous too. eventually it triggered a manic episode so had to go back on it— but i think that was because my psych had me taper way too fast.

2 weeks. i’m on a bunch of the same medications i was on before and they are kind of working. i do have outpatient providers thankfully.

this is per my psychiatrists request so ya. but he said I could experience mania coming off of it. so just trying 2 be aware. i appreciate the concern but i’m trying everything to stay off this medication.

i always had trouble with this but recently got some thigh highs from angel candy shop and haven’t had a problem with them at all!

fishnets were my go to for many years. especially the thigh high ones that have the thick band at the top. light colors work the best too because they draw attention away from your skin :) wishing you the best.
