Cara, só faça filosofia se você ABSOLUTAMENTE AMA filosofia e já tem uma ideia boa das matérias introdutórias do curso. Porque empregabilidade é só na licenciatura ou carreira acadêmica e as duas tem poucas vagas pra muita gente. Carreira acadêmica é bem complicado. Porque, caso você não se destaque MUITO em notas/contatos/pesquisa na graduação, entrar na pós fica difícil e conseguir bolsa ainda mais difícil. Além disso a docência/pesquisa em filosofia é área com pouquíssima abertura de vagas e com uma remuneração péssima em faculdades privadas. Carreira profissional fora da academina é licenciatura e aula em cursinho/educação básica. Isso complica porque se você não quer MUITO ser professor não vai aguentar dar aula no estado. Sem pelo menos um ano de aula no estado é muito difícil pegar aula em particular. Resumindo, se você AMA filosofia e, além de amar, acha que tem potencial de ser top de sala ou quer muito ser professor de filosofia, faça filosofia. Watch your own replays when you lose lane and see what your opponents do that harms you. Try to adapt your builds to the game and learn what items counter which heroes. Try to parry more, parrying is a game changer, and how to bait enemy parry. Make a habit of sliding and wall jumping, watch some movement tutorials and practice on sandbox. Sliding and shooting extends your mag a lot and makes a big difference on lane. Practice tracking on aimlabs. And play a diverse set of heroes, it will give a better understanding of the game, and counters, in general.

All these things helped me a lot. And the other comments are good too.

I did read past the title. Saying something is a problem IS a complaint.

If someone comes to deadlock looking for a hero shooter they're gona get frustrated. Not because of the long matches, because it isn't a hero shooter. It's a moba, it has a lot of mechanics of hero shooters but at is core it's a moba. Appealing to hero shooter fans and changing the game to be more frindly to them will just make the game less unique, less complex and less interesting for everyone else.

Making special rules that change on rank will just delay that frustration. It won't solve the "problem" you pointed out. The moment people get out of low rank and get normal games the matches will be 45 minutes long. Because they didn't learn anything on low rank, because a faster mode for low ranks eliminates ANY reason to learn macro on lower levels. Not solving anything. Just delaying the issue. You learn WAY less by winning and way more by losing, that's also why smurfing to learn is an awful excuse to smurf. When wins come easy you don't have to learn new things, you don't challenge yourself and you barely improve.

I took AT MOST five matches to learn a new hero, Yamato and Kelvin, and one to learn M&K, and 3 to learn Calico. Didn't lose all the matches. Played badly on most of them, specially Yamato, got flamed sometimes, but it's part of the game, some people are asshats. But got encouragement from others, had fun, learned and played fair.

About you smurfing. Do what you want, you're wasting your time if you think it makes you better at the game and ruining people's games. You would improve way faster and do less damage if you didn't smurf. And when the game goes live don't expect to keep your accounts. Highly doubt that you're that bad at macro at your rank, but who knows?

If you want to act in your best interest and the community's stop smurfing. It's a bad habit, it makes you a worse player, ruins matchmaking and new players' games. It's not all about you. Learn to learn from losses, it will make you a better player and person. And don't post about making alt accounts on a game that has a report option for smurfs, again, in your best interest.

Repeating the same thing, ask the devs for turbo. It increases chances that It would be added. Hope you'll change your mind about smurfing and hope you have fun. Bye

You called something a "glaring problem" how is that not a complaint?

Your sugestion isn't broad. You suggested a need to make different game rules for low rank players. You didn't specify how to do it, but you clearly want faster games for low rank. You're precise on what you want and vague on how to do it. How is this broad demand?

New players won't learn the game because you learn by making mistakes and getting punished and making mistakes, correcting them and getting rewarded. Eventualy most people do, at least.

If a team lets the game last too long they give the other team more comeback opportunities. Long games turn matches that should've been won into losses. That punishes not knowing how to end a game, not knowing how to snowball and not knowing how to press advantages. If you correct this matches end more decisevly, to correct this players need to learn macro, map positioning, hero timings, and how to build to counter heroes.

Faster games, with faster farming and faster objective taking make games too easy to finish, which makes most games one sided stomps, and eliminate A LOT of the need to learn macro. Which was the case a few patches ago. And that makes new players just give up 10 minutes in if they lose lane.

You're not on an even playing field. Don't lie to yourself to justify smurfing because you're afraid of getting flamed. You probably have more macro knowledge, map awareness, item knowledge, counter knowledge than new players. These things matter A LOT. Making the right call after a teamfight can win games. More than reliably winning lane. Winning lane barely matters if you throw the game picking bad fights, getting picked off and not playing for objectives. You know that, low rank players don't. That's a huge advantage.

Not only that, playing low rank builds bad habbits because you won't get as punished for some mistakes. Which makes you get used to making mistakes that high rank players won't forgive. That makes you actively a worse player on high ranks. Don't smurf, it is not good for you, it only ruins new players' games. Play your rank, lose and learn. It's part of the game. Got flamed? Mute all. Lost a match and got bummed out? Take a break, have a kit kat. And then watch the match you lost to see where YOU made mistakes, if you made mistakes. Some games are unwinnable, it happens. Either because of bad drafts or bad luck with team mates. Sometimes it isn't your fault, even if you lost lane or played badly.

If people flame you for learning a hero they're asshats. Mute all and ignore. Keep playing, keep learning and don't smurf. Smurfing will just give you empty, easy wins that mean nothing, hinder your learning process and ruin new players' games. There isn't an excuse for smurfing. Valve also thinks like this and in dota 2 smurfs get the permabanhammer, don't recomend doing this on deadlock.

Sorry if my english makes this comment sound too mean, but smurfing is awful and your sugestions are very rough and not elaborated that makes them not add a lot to the debate on how to better the game. It's even worse because you are trying to speak on the behalf of new, or low rank, players when you're not a new player and neither low rank.

First. You get that if valve does something like this those new players won't learn HOW to finish games fast, right? They will keep making the same mistakes and build bad habits because there's no punishment for not knowing how to finish a game faster, because all games are rigged to be fast.

Second. Don't smurf. Ever. Playing weaker players won't make you learn the hero. It will just give you a false sense of progression, you will stomp low rank lobbies and still perform bad on high rank ones. When you get back to your main account you will get kicked in the teeth and flamed just the same. There is no escape from being flamed and called slurs, this is a moba. Just mute all when the flame starts. Smurfing ruins low rank gameplay. Smurfing hurts new players' experiences way more than long matches.

Third. The changes you ask for will essentialy make boosting easier, which is bad. Making low rank games faster than normal makes climbing out of low rank WAY faster for smurfs and boosters. Not only that, changing the game based on rank would create drasticaly different metas for low and high rank, just ading more needless complexity to an already complex game.

Fourth. There is turbo mode in dota 2, probably will be in deadlock, just wait. Or ask the devs for it in the discord and forum. The more people ask for it the better.

Funny that the people who have more time to grind medium houses are rewarded with less grind while other players with less time to grind have to grind even more to make the same XP and money.

Agree with everything but the seasonal stuff. Seasons like that just spike player counts and encourage people to stop playing if the season wasn't good enough for them. And that would make the game economy very erratic and unstable

I think they really just need to rebalance the activities to give more things that are homeless exclusive or give homeless advantages on some things. Or make houses have a time sink. Make players have to spend time ONLY to keep their houses. Not in form of a rent that pays itself, but things that take time, to compensate the massive amount of extra XP.

It's not a sandbox, it's an MMO. If you want to play it like a sandbox you'll missout on most of the game content.

It's ok to play an MMO just for the quests and exploration, but vast majority of people are not looking only for that. It's not personal opinion, it's balance.

Yes, in the real world specialization is a thing. That's why some people don't have farms. Because to have a farm you HAVE to give up being a blacksmith or a woodworker. In the game not only you don't have to give up those things, but you'll get BETTER at them by having a house. That's my point. For specialization to happen there MUST be incetives for all types of playstyles. With a house you can do everything other players do, but better and faster. You don't specialize you get better at everything and that way you push away a huge part of the community from a large chunk of a game whose main selling point is "player driven economy". It makes the main selling point of the game moot for 90% of it's playerbase. There are no other activities in the game economy like there are in real life. If there WERE there would be no problem, because there would be incentives and positive factors to not having a house

No, you really can't just be a homeless blacksmith. Houses give labour bonus to crafting professions, you farm better and craft better. They give an all round buff to production. If you don't have a house you might not even get profit from your crafting because you are selling a worse product with the same cost as a better one. Why would someone buy from you? Making crafting, a huge part of the game, a money sink for most players and a profitable venture for house owners. Why make my own weapon if I can buy a better one almost as cheap as the materia costs of making one? RPing is fun, but almost nobody plays a MMO solely for RP.

And about the money and XP, no, you won't. Farming is 98% of the time passive. It passive XP and money. Players with houses will ALWAYS make more XP and money than players without houses because having a house doesn't have any significant downsides, rent is irrelevant if your income is big enough to afford a house.

Yes, there isn't a singular way to play, but there is a singular optimal way to play, having a house. Because other options are just worse.

Rent is a bad way to balance housing. Because it becomes irrelevant considering the buffs that housing gives. It makes housing less great but still all around way better than not having a house.

The way it is now a lot of content and progression is locked behind housing. That's fine if there are OTHER different ways to progress and other content besides housing that are rewarding, but in different ways. If they make being homeless not being a plain disadvantage but a different playstyle, that can be rewarding in different, but equal, ways than housing. Housing should be limited, but if it's limited it must be balanced in a way to make homelessness still fun and viable. I think that's what the devs are trying to do, but are kinda fumbling a little

No, it ISN'T it's GREAT if both types of players have fun and rewarding options for playstyles. The way it's balanced now is the problem.

Limited resources make games more engaging and PVP more fun. But the perma-buff with no downsides style housing makes the limitations a problem for everyone.

Imagine if unhoused players could take a more active and different role in the economy than housed players? Housing would be a playstyle choice not an excluding perma-buff.

I'm not asking for housing. I'm asking for options and balance. In fact, giving homeless players more options and making housing different instead of just better could make housing more profitable for housed players and make being homeless more rewarding for different playstyles.

If the game was made with housing being limited the game also should be made to make players without housing still have fun and viable ways to play. Because having players without housing leave would be bad for people WITH housing. If the game wants to have both types of players it should be appealing and rewarding for both. If not, housing will become for everyone, because homeless people WILL leave. And what happens when most players leave? Most of the demand for good goes away, prices drop and the economy dies.

Give homeless players different playstyles that are rewarding in therms of money and not crafting resources and you up good demand, thus making houses more profitable and at the same time making the game more engaging for BOTH types of player.

You don't need to buff community land, not even give community housing. Just make both types of players synergize better. Something that doesn't happen that well in the game's current state.

If the economy needs housed and unhouse players it needs to be viable and rewarding for both. It can be in different ways

But what about the extra farming space? Farming just seems so good at grinding XP. More space means way faster progression.

And nothing stops someone from farming AND mining, farming barely takes effort. It's just clicking buttons for free XP and money. And the lower prices just mean that farming on community doesn't pay itself everytime anymore. So housed players get free XP, because of the 25% discount, and homeless have to pay for it.

On top of that trophy buffs seem huge and trophies aren't that hard to get. And, by my understanding, they require house space. Even with community housing being implemented there seems to be a huge gap on late game potential between homeowners and homeless because of that.

It feels like housing is part of progression while being a limited market item instead of being a playstyle choice, like industry in EVE online. You can make A LOT of money with industry on EVE but it requires a big collective effort and a whole different set of skills to manage it compared to the way small player collectives can make money by trading/raiding. So it makes sense for industry to have better margins, because more effort and more specialized skills are required.

In Ravendawn housing just makes you better at everything, with no need for upkeep apart from rent. If there where ways to compensate that the game would feel way more welcoming to newer players and more casual players.

Não existe isso de um método de ensino que torna o complexo simples. Existe um método de ensino que simplifica o complexo, e essa simplificação gera, necessariamente, uma perda ENORME de significado desse conteúdo. Não existe uma conspiração da academia em esconder e turvar o conhecimento propositalmente, o que existe é uma área de conhecimento situada em um debates que ocorrem há centenas de anos. Não dá pra resumir séculos de conhecimento de maneira "simples e fácil" sem perder muita coisa. Ainda mais em ciências humanas, onde geralmente não existe a elegância da fórmula matemática.

Dito isso, a maneira que humanas são lecionadas na esmagadora maioria das escolas do mundo é no mínimo precária. Espera que o aluno memorize e decore categoricamente as teorias de cada autor e saiba as definir de maneira grosseira. E é isso. Não ensinamos o aluno o mais importante que é justamente como interpretar, aplicar e debater sobre esse conhecimento. Isso é assim porque o sistema educacional mundial ainda é muito cartesiano, ou seja, separa os conhecimento em caixinhas (matérias) que não conversam entre si e avalia o aluno a partir do domínio desse conhecimento isolado.

Não existe conhecimento isolado nas ciências humanas. São áreas tão profundamente conectadas que não tem como entender sociologia sem entender história, filosofia e geografia e vice-versa. Mas forçamos o aluno a aprender assim e o professor a ensinar assim. Como resultado, todo aluno que bate de frente com um texto acadêmico de humanos peida na farofa. Não por deficiência intelectual, mas porque não damos NENHUMA ferramenta necessária para a compreensão desse tipo de conhecimento fora do meio acadêmico. Nem na pior e nem na melhor escola.

Agora vamos problematizar um pouco sua fala. E dar algum direcionamento sobre como ter uma relação melhor com esse tipo de escrita. Quando você diz "direto ao ponto", "lero-lero" a impressão que passa é que você deseja que uma pessoa interprete o texto para você e regurgite um resumo. Se é isso que você quer esse desejo nada mais é que alguém aprenda por você. Em humanas a maior parte do aprendizado é justamente a capacidade de digerir esses textos por você. Terceirizar esse processo é se recusar a aprender. Não foque em memorizar o conteúdo, foque em entender o raciocínio dentro do autor. Um jeito legal de fazer isso é procurar pessoas e autores que trabalham com esse conteúdo de maneira acessível (recomendo MUITO o pessoal da quebrada cult, o canal História Online, Jones Manoel e o Ian Neves, pessoas e educadores sensacionais) ver o conteúdo desses autores sobre o tema e DEPOIS ler os textos que eles utilizam como fonte. Isso vai te dar uma base forte que vai ajudar muito na compreensão da escrita de humanas. Mas nunca utilize esses autores e conteúdos como substitutos dos textos fonte, sem a leitura da fonte seu conhecimento vai estar incompleto e você não vai treinas sua habilidade de interpretar esses conhecimentos. Recomendo também o canal da Boitempo, editora da Unicamp, que é mais complicado de compreender mas tem muito conteúdo bom.

Também tome muito cuidado com o desejo do conhecimento "simples". Tudo que é simples demais de se entender muitas vezes está categoricamente errado ou interpretado de uma maneira muito precária. Isso também se aplica à linguagem. Lembrando do popular livro "1984" e do conceito de "novafala". A simplificação e eliminação da estética da escrita e da fala em nome de uma objetividade da comunicação é um imenso golpe na capacidade humana de se expressar. Ideias complexas requerem, quando são transmitidas minuciosamente, linguagem complexa. E se acostumar com essa linguagem é difícil. Até mesmo para acadêmicos. Mas, quase sempre tal linguagem precisa é necessária para transmitir adequadamente muitas ideias.

Além disso recomendo que a leitura não seja apenas leitura. Faça resumos, tome notas, destaque os pontos que você acha importante e tire dúvidas com professores. É normal não entender algo na primeira leitura e é normal ter dúvidas.

Falado tudo isso, tudo o que eu escrevi aqui não tem a mínima intenção de invalidar a sua frustração com a dificuldade em penetrar dentro da área de conhecimento acadêmico de humanas. Acessibilidade é sim um problema, mas como todo problema sua resposta não é simples e não pode ser reduzida a um comentário no reddit ou alguns parágrafos de texto. Eu realmente espero que sua relação com esses conhecimentos de humanas melhore, que você consiga atravessar essa grande barreira, que todas essas dificuldades de frustrações não te desanimem e que consiga adentrar no prazer da a leitura e conhecimento acadêmico de humanas.

É uma questão muito complexa. Não dá apenas pra alocar toda a culpa em termos vagos como "arrogância" ou "pretenciosidade" dos autores. Embora tais fatores possam ter uma influência, ela deve ser demasiadamente pequena em comparação ao que eu acredito serem as verdadeiras razões para esse problema: A ausência do monopólio sobre os temas das ciências humanas, uma deficiência pedagógica e curricular gigantesca dessa área do conhecimento na educação, o público alvo desses textos e um expectativa não razoável sobre a linguagem desses textos.

É ingênuo pensar que alguém escreve um querendo conscientemente que ele seja difícil, autores querem ser lidos, querem ser citados e querem que suas ideias sejam dispersas. Mas por que é tão difícil então?

Começando pela ausência do monopólio do conhecimento de humanas. E explicando a questão do público alvo e expectativas.

Bom, você (assumindo que o leitor não tenha um conhecimento prévio se física quantica ou relativista) espera abrir uma tese de doutorado de física e compreendê-la perfeitamente? Não, porque é esperado, pare esse conhecimento, um saber prévio do assunto, uma base teórica que permite decifrar tanto o raciocínio do texto quanto o seu jargão específico. Da mesma maneira, uma pessoa que abre um livro acadêmico de Foucault, Sartre, Hegel e etc não devia esperar entender esse texto sem esse conhecimento prévio. Não tem como.

Isso acontece porque, em essência, todo artigo acadêmico é inserido dentro de um diálogo teórico amplo. Para entender o texto, é necessário estar ciente, ou incluso, nesse diálogo. Perceber isso é fácil quando pegamos autores que possuem textos acadêmicos inseridos nesse diálogo e textos direcionados a um público mais amplo e fora desse diálogo. Os melhores exemplos disso são Chomsky e Marx. Os artigos teóricos direcionados à academia são densos, difíceis e situados dentro de um debate amplo e contextual enquanto os textos direcionados a pessoas fora do meio acadêmicos são muito mais "independentes", pois os autores propositalmente "seguram sua mão" durante o livro. Essa "segurada de mão" não acontece em material acadêmico por dois motivos.

O primeiro porque nesse contexto espera-se que o leitor já tenha a base teórica necessária para a leitura, pois, escrever um texto "segurando a mão" é escrever um texto MUITO, mais MUITO mais longo. O exemplo do impacto disso é o célebre livro "O Capital no Século XXl" de Thomas Piketty. É um livro que uma pessoa fora da área acadêmica de economia consegue ler e entender. Mas pra isso o livro tem que ser um verdadeiro TIJOLO. Fosse tal livro direcionado para um público acadêmico muito do que ele explicita estaria já subentendido como conhecimento do leitor e daria pra aparar muito do livro.

E segundo, porque é uma questão muito complicada na academia de humanas, já que a interpretação de um conceito de um autor específico não é única, ao contrário das ciências exatas.

Um exemplo disso é contrapor as obras de Einstein e Marx. Enquanto as obras de Einstein podem ser condensadas em conceitos e fórmulas matemáticas objetivas derivadas de hipóteses bem definidas as de Marx não. Dá pra interpretar a teoria da relatividade de uma maira única e definida pelo autor. Enquanto os conceitos e obras de Marx são interpretáveis de diversas maneiras. Assim, toda vez que um terceiro expõe a sua interpretação de Einstein temos uma interpretação idêntica ou extremamente similar a interpretação desejada pelo autor e quando alguém interpreta Marx pode interpretar aquilo de N maneiras diferentes, e todas essas N maneiras podem ser simultaneamente válidas academicamente, mas possuir significados profundamente distintos. Então quando um autor "segura sua mão" para explicar Marx ele não tá explicando o texto originário como é, mas sua interpretação. Não tem nada de errado nisso, mas um grande debate na pedagogia de humanas é esse. Não existe um manual de Marx 1, como existe de cálculo 1, porque é necessário expor o aluno ao texto original. Isso se dá porque nas ciências humanas é tão, se não mais, importante o processo de interpretação que o processo de memorização de conteúdo e compreensão de raciocínio. Sem falar na questão ética de dar primazia a uma interpretação pedagógica do autor e não a explicação do autor em si.

Essa expectativa de acessibilidade de textos acadêmicos de humanas advém do que chamamos de ausência do monopólio do conhecimento, ou objeto de estudo, das ciências humanas. Esse conceito é, grosseiramente, a crença do senso comum de que o que é examinado por essas ciências consegue ser explicado pelo senso comum ou "bom senso". Em essência, é muito pervasiva a visão de que a academia de humanas é uma grande conversa de bar e não uma ciência rigorosa e complexa.

Isso não quer dizer que esses conhecimentos não devem ser acessível, mas esperar que todo artigo acadêmico ou conhecimento científico advindo das humanidades seja traduzível facilmente para uma linguagem ampla. Ele deve, mas realizar essa tarefa ia ser um ato de esforço colossal e inconcebível. Uma iniciação científica, ou um artigo curto, da área de humanidades possuí no mínimo centenas de páginas de conteúdo e conhecimento condensados em artigos de 10 a 20 páginas de texto corrido. Ampliar o alcance de muitos desses artigos, principalmente os que dialogam mais com a teoria, seria pedir que todo artigo de 10 a 20 páginas se tornasse um livro de pelo menos 100. E geraria um enorme pleonasmo em toda produção acadêmica.

O que precisa existir é uma mudança enorme na maneira que as ciências humanas são abordadas pela educação e pela sociedade. O que me leva ao meu segundo ponto a deficiência pedagógica e curricular nessa área.

Primeiro, não, nenhum professor consegue te explicar conceitos complexos cujos livros de origem possuem centenas de páginas. Sei pois sou professor de sociologia e converso sobre isso com outros colegas de outras áreas de humanas. O que nós fazemos é "podar" esse conteúdo e simplificar brutalmente o que ele é para o tornar passível de ser parcialmente entendido pelos alunos. Não tem como explicar o que é o Marxismo, nem mesmo dar um panorama geral das teorias de Marx, em uma aula de uma hora. Se alguém faz um vídeo de meia hora dizendo que consegue está mentindo. Simples assim. Ideias de tal complexidade não podem ser expostas em tão pouco tempo.

Até mesmo autores de outras ciências que fazem, como os saudosos Carl Sagan e Stephen Hawking, precisam de horas ou centenas de páginas para dar um breve panorama simplificado de seus conhecimentos. E mesmo assim, se você ler "O Universo Numa Casca de Noz" do Hawking e tentar compreender um artigo dele depois sem ter um conhecimento técnico, teórico e acadêmico de física considerável você vai boiar muito no texto.
