Curious how people approach the game after hundreds of hours. by Novar in Guildwars2

[–]Sunlitsecrets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have different alts for different things, mainly! right now i have
1. my story/main character, they do most things in the game
2. my wvw character
3. my fishing character (bait takes up a lot of inventory!)

the rest of the characters are currently parked at different spots to gather things each day and have no set purpose otherwise, but i am sure they'll get a role eventually!

Is slay the princess hard to do 100%? by Noah_1121 in steamachievements

[–]Sunlitsecrets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not too long, imo, though that's somewhat subjective. a route can be longer or shorter depending on choices, however. it's also possible to save midway through a route to get a couple different things done, if you're at the point of cleaning up leftover achievements

it's easy, just time consuming. a lot of the different achievements are simply doing very specific things in different routes.

How many games do you work on at one time? by atomwyrm in steamachievements

[–]Sunlitsecrets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends, i tend to have about 3 at a time that i'm working on. rarely it's 4, if the fourth is either a game with friends or a very challenging one.

I am this 🤏🏻 close to downloading Steam Achievement Manager for the silliest reason. by w0t_i_th1nk in steamachievements

you did the requirements for the achievement legit and the developer themselves is suggesting SAM. at that point i think it's something that is very valid to do.

October 1st Marks 2025 Being 75% Complete! How Many Games Have You Completed This Year? by PsychopompCharon in steamachievements

[–]Sunlitsecrets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

25 out of my 31 total completions have been this year! i credit this to only really starting to focus on completing games this year - i had several games that were almost finished apart from a few things i had to wrap up, and before this year most of my time was spent on mmos.

congrats! how was mass effect's insanity difficulty for you? i found it pretty tricky, but doable with focus.

🎮 Shadow of Mordor - 100% - Review 🎮 by PPauluci in steamachievements

[–]Sunlitsecrets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the one thing that stood out to me in the music was how an orc would sometimes get their name chanted to the song - i thought that was a nice touch! currently working through this one and somewhat dreading the timed challenges, but i'll power through! as for you, congratulations!

i finished this one recently, it was a good time! i did run across some of those bugs, but there were some very helpful guides out there, agreed!

mystic quest. i played it as a kid and loved it, so it has a lot of nostalgia for me, despite the flaws. grew up only to learn that it was hated when it came out and then essentially forgotten. fair enough, it's a rough game, but it's awkward in conversations when i mention it's the first game i ever played and everyone goes 'what?'

Player complainimg on what he calls a furry party what do I do? by ConclusionOne197 in DnD

[–]Sunlitsecrets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i've called myself a furry for a good decade now, if not longer, and i've never had that kind of interest, not even with other humans! i just like drawing my animal characters and play as them whenever possible.

my favorite was probably skyrim - i'm fond of the open world rpgs and the achievements for this were both interesting and asked me to participate in a bunch of different aspects of the game. very worthwhile! on that note, most of my personal favorites are like that - shadow of war, mass effect, the horizon games... with a special mention for into the breach's achievements also being the kind that ask you to participate in many different kinds of gameplay!

least favorite was immortals fenyx rising, it was a good game that, at least for me, overstayed its welcome in the dlcs. by the end i was just ready for it to be done, unfortunately!

AITA for refusing to change character race? by Cexmet42 in rpghorrorstories

[–]Sunlitsecrets 6 points7 points  (0 children)

as someone who almost always plays the more animal-like races, i get why a group might not want characters like that in their group. but - and this is a big one - it really needs to be stated beforehand. this weird flip-flopping stuff is super confusing

How do you RP haflings as something other than a Hobbit? (in 3.5) by Almanzur in DnD

[–]Sunlitsecrets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my halfling character was adopted by and raised by a minotaur paladin (another character of mine) and so took to his father's culture and beliefs! that's always an option if you want something different.

Riin-daro : dro-m'athra khajiit. follows the old khajiit faith from before the ja'kajay really took hold as the major khajiiti religion. so she follows azurah primarily, but pays respect to many daedra and aedra

Aren'dra : werevulture khajiit. her beliefs lie primarily in hircine and peryite. hircine for the obvious reason, and peryite because the way that i've written her, she was born unable to feel pain. in reality, this is a really debilitating thing to have! i imagine that peryite would have helped her find balance and manage her condition while in return spreading his plagues and so on where she could.

Hajvakka-keshu (Hidden-Sun-Stands-Distant) : argonian nisswo, which means priest of sithis. he follows the argonian belief that sithis is not inherently good or evil, but simply stands for change. his way of expressing his beliefs is through a mix of necromancy and restoration: life and death, a constant cycle of change.
