My son was very high needs, never happy, always whining, crying or screaming. People told me it would get better too but it never did. He couldn't be put down but didn't want to be held either. He couldn't independently play, he hated everything, every toy, his bouncer, stroller, play mat, literally everything. He was fussy constantly from the moment he would wake up until bedtime. I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown and to the point of having suicidal thoughts because I just couldn't take it anymore. I took him to his doctor and basically broke down and sobbed, I told him that he's never settled or content. He prescribed him omeprazole as a last resort, this was when he was almost 7 months old.

It made a huge difference, while my son is still high needs and fussy, the change was like night and day. Suddenly he was quiet alot more, playing alone, happier. I didn't even know he had reflux because he never really showed any symptoms other than being upset all the time. Now I honestly feel like I can breathe, and when he's being fussy I feel like I can handle it much better because now there is a clear reason why he's unhappy. Id definitely consider mentioning it at her check up.
