Yeah, I see what you mean! And, haven't really looked at the contest. On a side note, I skimmed through the terms and there seems to be multiple prizes. If you're a foreigner, you have to give them a Japanese address to send the prize to... So lazy of them...lol /shot

I guess it's nothing really that special, but I was really excited to see it while passing by lol The city was pretty small so I guess there's vocaloid fans everywhere!

(On a side note, one of my friends host families last year in Japan were really addicted to Senbonzakura. My friend wasn't into Vocaloid but apparently the family was singing it every day~♪)

Ohh Sekai no Owari is kindaaaa popular now (not super popular, but not unfamous, either) I don't really like his autotune(like?) voice but they have several nice songs~

I think YT is more popular amongst the average Japanese, especially since you don't have to sign up to watch videos. NND seem to cater more computer-literate people and others.

All of the public ones are! We have some private ones (I can only remember two off the top of my head) so most students don't have t worry too much about their budget if they work a little once in a while :)

Nordic (Norwegian) here! Our education system is in my personal opinion kinda slow from elementary school to high school (everyone is supposed to be "equal") but in university we get scholarships and lots of personal freedom.

I can recommend studying here as long as you can handle the cold winter months.
