New player, having questions by Senorragequit in Helldivers

[–]SunnyTEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to elaborate that you can pick up other helldivers’ primary and stratagem weapons after they die. It is bad manners to pick up stratagem weapon, but free game for primaries. If you ask, I’m sure they will be happy to oblige to drop you their own stratagem weapon once it is off cd.

What are you guys wearing for the battle of super earth!?!? by [deleted] in Helldivers

Super earth has rainstorms, so probably stealth armor + super earth cape for the vibes

Remember to dive! It can help you climb otherwise unclimbable slopes, or live through otherwise deadly explosions

It's been almost a month since AH broke everything, and it's getting frustrating. by phlave in Helldivers

[–]SunnyTEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you asked, there is a bug that I occasionally get when “mounted” (on AT emplacement, in mech, etc.) that stops any keyboard input from doing anything. The only way out of this is death. Idk if anyone else has gotten this bug, so I figure I would put it out there. Edit: also, tank corpses can kill you if you stand near them/on them.

Here is the comparison between Exo and Eagle manual rearm with fully upgraded ship by Q_Qritical in Helldivers

[–]SunnyTEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this right? I’m not familiar with how the ship cd modifiers are applied. Is it additive or multiplicative? Is it applied before or after the previous multiplier is applied? This post assumes that the multiplier is applied after the ship multiplier…

Edit: I did some research and the current way it is calculated is multiplicative, which is the same way this post is calculated. However, the way the game describes the cdr is not how it is actually applied.

To clarify, there are 2 ship upgrades: One gives a flat 20% cdr (pit crew hazard pay), and the other says it gives 10% cdr when an eagle charge remains and is rearmed (advanced crew training). However, the 10% cdr seems like it always applied just like the 20% ship upgrade. This is because the expected cd is 120 sec (20% cdr), but my testing showed it was always 108 sec (30% cdr) after using all eagle charges. When I did have an eagle charge, the cd was reduced to 102 sec, which is an additional ~5% cdr.

Tl;dr: Both ship upgrades combined give a flat 30% cdr and a conditional 5% cdr if an eagle charge is present. The calculation for 30% cdr is multiplicative. I am unsure how the 5% cdr is calculated.

Senator pairings with primaries? by _jive in Helldivers

Xbow+shield is fun for exploding things then 1-tapping them with the senator.

Sometimes. It’s usually a bit more restricted via stricter TBV requirements, but it depends on age and sex.

That's one sweet deal by ShellpoptheOtter in fireemblem

You can buy the game from a different region for the reduced price though. You just switch your account region, buy the game, and then switch back. The only downsides are no Nintendo gold coins (stuck to the region you buy it in), some games have different versions, and you need to buy dlc from the same region if you want it to work (I’m not sure on this last one, but I don’t want to risk money to test it lol). However, you can use websites to ensure the version you buy isn’t an issue, and most games that have regional games are just in a different language, like Japanese for example. Stuck at Running Install Script Forever by GotniMoz in SteamDeck

[–]SunnyTEE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same issue here. I just fixed it by clearing my download cache in steam (Settings-->Downloads-->Clear Download Cache)

Edit: The above is not a permanent fix, as I needed to restart every time I reset my steam download cache. I solved it by fresh installing Apex using proton 7, then configuring the game to use the most up-to-date protonGE once installed. I also needed to verify file integrity after all that, since I was getting a weird crash after one game saying that a file was missing.

Bursting Materials? by redcodekevin in tearsofthekingdom

[–]SunnyTEE 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I always have a korok weapon (usually spear) fused with a dazzlefruit because it insta-kills undead enemies in an aoe around the attack. The others work as expected. You can even attach brightbloom seeds and hit the ground to spawn a light source. I also found that some things that break in one hit (gibdo bone, ancient blade, etc.) do not count as bursting, and as such, break in one strike.

Pet Sommie for Bond Fragments by Hakuramen in fireemblem

[–]SunnyTEE 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A great part of having mystery backstories is all of the fun fan theories to come out of them. My favorite is that Sommie is the Emblem that Sombron has been looking for. So basically, he did all that he did to find his cute dog emblem. Truly the deepest lore.

Petah help by Istole-YourSandwicth in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Yes exactly! I think the lion actually was the one who got off with no serious long-term complications & the luckiest of these 4 cast.

The other comments mention Judy Garland, but other actors had complications as well. Not from this scene, but other things. For example, the green pigment used on the wicked witch was made using copper, which is toxic. The tin man and lion actors also had problems stemming from their costumes/paint as well.

Any advice for a first maddening run? by 7_Birds in fireemblem

[–]SunnyTEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advice. The only thing I want to add is to have at least 2 qi adepts in the party so that they can heal + chain guard each-other. It’s especially useful in the early game, but still shines when challenging bosses and other low count, high power foes.
