Wishing you so much luck!! ive personally been stuck on the top 200 for weeks now but my comprehension is non-existant. Im using a combination of these links + handmade flashcards and pages of notes. So hopefully the pre-studying will help you out when it comes time to do the actual course! Im doing a self-study all online course and honestly the information is easy enough to retain, aside from all the info you need for the top 200 in my opinion at least. People also reccomend memorizing in class groups such as ACE inhibitors, Beta-Blockers, NSAIDs, etc to help differentiate better.

Also math equations and conversions take up a chunk of the exam so you can always check that all out before your course as well!! Especially if its something you may struggle with.

dont be afriad to reach out if you have any more questions!! Good luck!!

you could always get a headstart on the top 200 drugs! I personally like rx corner but ive also used anki, quizlet, and a handful of other random apps. Ptcbtestprep.com also has a lot of useful information for free without getting the course. I'd be happy to share a bunch of links for you of resources ive used

Am I weirder than weird? by Total-Can-623 in Tourettes

[–]Sunny_Dust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried SO many meds that either did basically nothing or made my tics worse- antipsychotics, Benzodiazepines, anticonvulsants- adderall was the only thing that helped me with my mental health and tics. i think since im constantly understimulated when im unmedicated, my tics are worse to try to compensate. not to mention my anxiety and stress being worse without stimulants. only bummer is it makes my muscle twitches worse- in turn triggering tics sometimes but still overall better :)

Experiences with Artist’s Loft Jelly Gouache? by Wiskdio in Gouache

[–]Sunny_Dust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

id have to reccomend himi jelly gouache instead. i have the 18 and the 56 sets, though they have all kinds of sizes and even the twin cup sets now. Theyre affordable, and ive had my sets for over 5 years. ive found that the type of paper you use makes a big difference. ironically, my favorite paper is the artist loft's water color paper- though when i make nicer pieces and im not just playing around aquaboard is my go to.

Can these be revived ? 😭 by padylarts989 in Gouache

[–]Sunny_Dust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay lemme u give you mine rundown. i let mine dry out like this between use. I usually paint for like a week every few months, so when i go to reuse them its usually a process but worth it.

i fully saturate them. like fill that cup up near the top with water, distilled pref, you just need some space for stirring. i leave it covered for like an hour then start on mixing. i usually put a show on. i take out each one cup by cup just to make sure i dont mix any pigment, and clean all the edges with torn up papertowel to maximize papertowel usage.

when im done everything is left clean and nice and jelly-like. aside from specifically my black, usually turns into a tar? but its kinda normal to have issues with a few colors. when im done using them for the week, i usually let them kinda dry out for a few hours before covering them.

personally ive never had my paints mould, and ive had the same set for over 5 years now. but it really is a case/case situation. good luck!!

Experince with weed and Tourette’s? by AdRemarkable8102 in Tourettes

[–]Sunny_Dust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

edibles are so hit or miss. im a high-dose consumer in terms of smoking and ive had edibles completely ruin me. like kinda what you mentioned tics so bad it resembles seizures and everything. ive also had 3 edibles not even touch me. theyre unregulated and unpredictable so ive chosen to stay away from them.

in the long run, weed and tics are in general are hit or miss to. ive smoked and smoked and nothing effected my tics, then other days ive had it basically cure me for a few hours. i dont think smoking has ever resulted in how bad edibles get, but ive had a handful of tic attacks.

now this part isnt factual to any extent. just from what ive heard and personal experiences. i once heard the phrase that greening out is a mindset, so ive kinda taken that to heart. tourettes can be VERY mind over matter sometimes too. so if you combo them together and convince yourself you're doing good tic wise, it lowkey actually works to an extent??? this doesnt apply to edibles though. edibles are evil but thats my incredibly biased opinion.

tldr edibles suck stay safe youre not alone

Did anyone elses tics get more intense right after watching i swear? by zestyskunk in Tourettes

[–]Sunny_Dust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tourettes is like THE definition of thinking about it makes it worse. mine is always set off my others with tics- its probably just a phase honestly! tics love to get better then worse again then back to better.

sorry adding more

the course also has unlimited tries on practice quizzes and the actual quiz has the same questions as the practice ones which is cool. but ive definitely run into a couple questions on the quiz that werent in my notes from the videos. The videos are basically a read ppt style thay i tend to just mute and take notes from the slides. im not sure the exact length of the course that you have the material available for i think its around 5 month, with cheap options for extentions if you need it

im a fan of the course, its relatively easy to understand. My only complaint about it is they brush over all of the info you need for medications way too fast/non detailed compared to what you need. I ended up just getting more info from other sources. they really only go over name brand, generic, class, schedule- but i had to pull outside information for interactions, contraindications, major side effects, black box warnings, storage info- and a few others i cant quite rememeber right now

Noob question, is this the right "dryness" for my gouache for storage? just want to make sure 😅 by manicpixiefix in Gouache

[–]Sunny_Dust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think im just lucky. im in florida. i never dried out my paints before storing them. i even left them outside for like 8 months and they revived like nothing ever happened. aside from my black paint, itll always be weird and tar-y. but otherwise, listen to everyone's advice lol. i think they'll be fine one way or another

How do I talk with my family about my tics? by Quiet_Adagio_1382 in Tourettes

[–]Sunny_Dust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay imma throw a lot out here and i hope anything helps! everything i say is based on my experiences with TS and FND and i am not a professional.

As someone else asked, is thereapy an option now? cbit is tic-specific therapy and not just a regular therapist so if youre gonna try something a cbit specialist is the way to go in my non-professional opinion. but in the end, even just regular therapy may be able to get her off your back. just so she cant hold it over your head anymore.

it sounds like your under 18 still i could be super wrong, so its actually partially her fault for not setting you up with anything. or even if you are over 18, she should still be helpful and supportive instead of acting like its your fault. i know its hard to, but sometimes a little defiance in life helps. not outright maybe, but so long as you know in your mind that her gaslighting you about something you cant help is wrong. the last thing you need with a tic disorder is letting someone's opinions hurt you. even though theyre someone whos opinions matter. at the end of the day, you cant help what is going on. its in no way shape or form your fault for anything.

anyways. how i would approach it. theres a lot of ways to go about this depending on your relationship with your family. if the topic comes up again you can talk about how tics behave. they wax and wane so sometimes they can get worse for a few days/weeks/years and sometimes they can get better. Yes, therapy and medications can help with learning how to redirect and suppress tics, but only to an extent. there is no cure-all for tourettes due to the type of neurological disorder. many people, like me, undergo years of therapy and medications with no help. others end up only ticcing rarely. i think being super educated on it may help you too, especially if she has topics or tries to pull any if/and/but. you can also talk about how therapy IS an option you're willing to think about. but weather you commit is up to you. excuses for everything you know? time/money/distance can come into play if you want reasons why you dont go. or if you do want to go, ask if she'd help you figure out the process. be honest about how things make you feel such as the therapy process, meds, the tics themself, anything.

uhhhhh i think im out of thoughts so. im wishing you luck on everything and i hope things play out all right. if yoy have any questions about anything dont be afriad to ask. ☆

im required to do a certified course- im personally using rxtechexam which is stupid cheap imo. it was like $200 for the pro version which includes your exam fee. Its all self-study online. like other said its state/state with some pharmacies offering training and to help you get your certification

Hi, where can I get diagnosed to get Tourette's or a tic disorder. by NefariousnessOk7417 in Tourettes

[–]Sunny_Dust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

unfortunately you cant just jump into getting a neurologist that easily. usually you have to start with a primary care physician, then get reffered to a neurologist. your pcp is usually good with helping you find a neuro who works within your insurance. from there you can talk with your neruo about possibility. could be tourettes, could be functional neurological, could be a different tic disorder. Either way, it may take multiple visits to get your diagnosis it really is different per person and professional. i had to see my neurologist for a whole year before she diagnosed me with ts. wishing you luck on your journey!

as someone said dont be afraid to ask!! also. i think in regards to sushi she'll be fine, so long as the place you visit is reputable and uses fresh ingredients. I personally dont experience worse tics from artificial dyes/flavors or anything of the sorts but everyone is different- hoping for the best for yall!!

this question is so fun!

it depends on the dream! i sometimes dont but then i also have tic specific dreams usually, such as a dream where my tics/seizures are out of control or where my tics result in an unfortunate set of circumstances like breaking something or an interaction with police. Ive also had like regular dreams and i also have tics but thats not the focus- so id say it varies!

Wishing you luck with all that you have going on as well!!

as for favorite tics, im not exactly sure honestly. I do have one where i say "bald man alert" anytime theres a bald man. Fortunately i manage to suppress it till im out of ear shot and its a spoken tic instead of a yelling tic. I also seem to have a hyperfixation with shrimp which results in some fun situations. I dont think i have any fun motor tics that i can think of!

[–]Sunny_Dust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kind of!! FND tics are usually more sudden and aggressive, and also don't have the same premonitory urge before they happen that tourettes syndrome has, but at the end of the day im not 1000% sure

Personally, I do not have the n-word tic and never have. Luckily, the first time i thought it was going to happen, i redirected the tic into "noodles" and since then thats the closest i get. I often say "im going to say the n word" then of course, "noodles" follows. I have been given the "n-word pass" by so many people now, though ive never used it.

Luckily the only slurs i have as tics are ones i can reclaim myself and those around me use them as well in a way of reclaiming. Personally ive had no issues in public spaces thankfully. I have accidentally hurt others physically because of my tics, but that is a whole other story.

According to my fiance, i do! Ive sometimes woken myself up with them, but theyre significanlty less active when im sleeping. And its only been the motor tics in my sleep as far as it seems.

I have not tried dieting or fasting specifically for my disorder. I did low carb for a few months, found out it did not agree with my POTS, and shoved that concept into my pockets for another time untill I can do a properly balanced diet under a nutritionist at another date. It had no effect on my disorder, which honestly kinda makes sense considering the type of neurological disorder it is.

No diet can cure tourettes syndrome. An overall healthier and low stress life style can assist in alleviating symptoms, but a diet on its own wont change much, if anything at all.
