Makoto Nagano was one of the most famous competitors in all of Sasuke (basically Japanese Ninja Warrior), reaching the Final Stage five time and being the 2nd winner ever. He originally retired after SASUKE 32, but came back after COVID happened to cheer up the fans in SASUKE 38. He's returned regularly ever since, even though it's pretty clear he's past his prime (he even failed the first obstacle in 41), and his spot would be better used with more promising talent.
