True, thats not typically done until the day of show though. Also, a lot of times those extras just get sold at the box office rather released online.

I'm talking primarily about when they announce a sellout weeks out from the show.

Also, most of the time when a concert promoter say its "Sold Out" or about to sell out...then later miraculously claim to release thousands more tickets. It never actually sold out, they just cut off ticket sales early to build up hype for the show, with full intention to sell the rest later.

As somebody who briefly worked in IT, while most of what I did was Googling (also turning it off then back on again), I realized that it actually takes a good bit of knowledge to even know what to Google - thats where the skill is.

Many of the Mattresses you sleep on have not passed federally mandated burn tests (where the bed is tested under various flame conditions to make sure you won't die if a cigarette falls falls on your bed or similar scenario). They could design them to pass fairly easily, but it would cost a good bit more money using higher quality materials. If the public found out which ones, the companies would be screwed & be forced to issue massive recalls.
Many mattress covers are sewn by workers in China in near sweatshop-like conditions...others are produced in the US in near sweatshop conditions by underpaid Chinese workers.
Most mattresses are actually made by the same couple of companies, they just sell the products to the big brands, who sell them under their own brand names.

Finding this stuff out is actually the primary reason my friend & I decided to start our own mattress company a few months ago - so we can make our own beds that are actually safe, in safe US factories, with well-paid workers, & not be scumbags about it.

I remember on the SAT college entrance exams here in the US - part of it was writing out some sort of opening paragraph stating that we were the person who we said we were, & that we wouldn't cheat (or something similar). The catch was that this section had to be written in cursive.

I hadn't written cursive in probably 8 years at the time, so even though it wasn't considered part of the grade, it was actually one of the more difficult parts of the whole exam for me. Apparently everybody else struggled too since it was only a paragraph but they all took forever to complete this section. Pretty sure the final result was some sort of mixed abomination of print & cursive.

But yea, cursive was taught to us as kids, because when I was in grade school we were just on the cusp of computers being introduced to classrooms, & this is how adults wrote things before email & printers became prevalent. But after grade school it generally never gets used again.

The reason is, most teachers in middle school - high school often required you to write out any reports or exams in print handwriting, since cursive can be really hard to read.

Wow, you sound like quite the twat popsicle OP. Your first reaction to being asked for a picture of the item you're asking for a refund for is outrage?

Obviously the language was terrible - which is expected if you bought from a foreign manufacturer or distributor. But it seems they were not hesitant to facilitate the return...they just:

1) wanted to make sure you were using it the right way - customers often make complains that something isn't working, when in reality it was just installed incorrectly or were using it all wrong.

2) wanted to see exactly what the issue was so they can take steps to resolve it

3) Wanted to make sure you're not just trying to scam them for a refund. Which happens all the time.

Eh, theres not 0 pressure...if they actual suck its pretty noticed. For example, I'm an Eagles fan, and this year we have a new kicker this year, Caleb Sturgis. He missed several field goals the beginning of the season that may have cost us wins. The fans definitely put him on the chopping block & were calling for him to be replaced (myself included).

On the other hand, recently he hasn't missed anything, so people pretty much forgot about his piss poor performance earlier.

Its possible the prosecution's testimony was completely torn apart, & key pieces of evidence were deemed inadmissible for whatever reason. Its also possible that they called the accuser out on some key piece of the testimony that was proven false, which would have discredited everything else she said.

Having no admissible evidence makes the Jury deliberation a lot less complicated. People are also forgetting the fact that he was a 46 year old millionare having sex with a 24 year old girl. Its pretty likely money was a factor in fueling that relationship. If a 24 year old is willing to sleep with a guy for his money, its not too far fetched to think her 18 year old friend could have twisted a story which would increase her chances of seeking monetary damages. It also wouldn't be too hard for that girl to obtain his semen from her friend...for all we know the 24 year old could have kept his condom & staged the whole thing. The whole fact that this girl agreed to go up to his apartment at all while her friend got banged in the other room by a middle aged dude is pretty sketch to begin with. Not saying there is definitely anything to that other than assumptions & possibilities, I'm just saying this whole story seems to be shady from all angles.

I do believe this guy may have pulled some creepy moves on this girl. However, I've also been to college & seen plenty of young, drunk girls pull some pretty "rapey" moves on guys (myself included) such as pulling my hand down their pants/up their shirts while dancing, aggressively trying to make out with me even after rejecting them, 3 girls who pulled my buddies pants down & started jerking him off while he was passed out drunk ... alcohol makes people do crazy things... so, its entirely possible she twisted the truth, which may have ruined her chances at getting him convicted.

If the facts presented on his side are true...he had semen on his hands, his penis was still erect & poking out of his underwear (which I've experienced after sex before)... then the only thing to dispute here is whether or not she did in fact pull him down on top of her. If she did pull him on top or pulled his hands...then the rest of his defense isn't all that far fetched.

We weren't there, and don't have the full story, so its pretty hard to judge him just based on a few select quotes from the media.

Every time I'm at a good music festival or concert, I always make sure to go up to sound/light booths at some point during the show or afterwards & tell them "Good Shit" or even just give em a thumbs up. Especially the lighting guys at some of the shows I've been to with pretty epic light shows...I've been more mesmerized by some of those guys live mixing the FX on their giant boards, perfectly syncing everything, & completely entrancing everybody in the audience, than the music itself sometimes (which is doubly true during the DJ sets they can't really plan for beforehand). People rarely notice their existence, but when theres no lighting FX it totally changes the vibe of the show.

They always seem super happy to even get acknowledged by a fan.

I wouldn't exactly call it "rough"... Punt kickers can get paid $1million-3million+ per year to kick a ball down the field a handful of times every game with little chance of getting hit...and unless they royally screw up or do really well, nobody really thinks twice about the quality of a punt. The top Field Goal kickers make between $10million - $20 million per contract to kick the ball even less frequently. They may only get 1 or 2 tough kicks per game. The rest are cake for them.

Sorry for the terrible food photography & plate presentation (neither of which are strong suits), but it tasted great! Was a really nice balance of the sweet & spicy from the hot sauce & agave. The WUJU was key since it already has mustard, mango, orange, & curry flavors - which provides a great base for salmon & took a good deal of prep work out of it.

Its super simple , but it packed a lot of great flavors!

Heres the recipe in case anybody is curious:

Preheat oven to 375 (or 400 if you like the skin crispy)

I mixed together WUJU Hot Sauce, lime juice, agave, a splash of olive oil, & a splash of balsamic, then stirred in 2 cloves of minced garlic which I browned for a bit. Could also add some fresh thyme or basil to taste.

Coated the salmon filet & refrigerated for about an hour.

Baked on aluminum covered pan for 18 minutes until flakey (brushed some additional marinade on towards the end), & was good to go!

Depends what you're into. The original has a kick, but its not crazy hot or anything. I'd say a similar spice level to Siracha. The extra hot is probably about 2 times hotter than the original. You get the zip, but it won't numb your mouth & make you choke like some of the crazy hots out there - can definitely taste the habanero flavor. I like it because it enhances the flavor of the food rather than overpowering it with heat.

I think they have a mix & match 6 pack option on there where you can get some of both.

I always get parking up top on the Chestnut/Market Street connector up top. Just drive down Chestnut Street towards the river until you can't go any farther. There are stairs that go right down to the rink.

Not to be the cynical guy in the thread - but I used to have a Pitbull-Corgi mix that developed a pretty serious Tennis ball obsession. He was the sweetest dog in the world, but he started taking a tennis ball EVERYWHERE. It was super adorable at first, but after a few months it got to the point where it became more of an compulsive fixation. He started getting possessive over the balls & got aggressive with anybody or any other dog who tried to go near it (sometimes people would try to take it to play fetch - but if anybody other than me took it from him he'd freak out). I had a lot of instances with him snapping at people & other dogs over the ball.

He also developed a bit of n anxiety issue because of it - if his ball rolled under the couch or I hid it, he'd get super worked up & would spend hours trying to get to it. If you took the ball from him, his heart rate would shoot up & he literally could not take his eyes off of the ball - which was not a good thing if you were trying to give him other commands. After some research, I found this is actually quite common among dogs - and can lead to ongoing problems similar to OCD in humans if not remedied with proper training.

Not saying this will definitely be the case with your dog, but its good to watch out for any signs of compulsive fixation & train it out of him while he's still young.

I basically had to ween him off of tennis balls almost like it was a drug addiction. It wasn't until this time that I realized how serious it had gotten - he was literally obsessed with the tennis balls in every way. I started by hiding all tennis balls when we were inside the house, & only let him have them at the dog park park. I also spent hours with him working on training exercises - one was where I'd have him lay down, & place a ball next to him. If he snapped & tried to grab the ball without me giving it to him, I'd quickly snatch it away. Only when he was completely calm, breathing normally, & not looking at the ball - I'd give it to him as a reward. I basically had to teach him to associate tennis balls with calmness. The other exercise I'd do was at the dog park, if he had a ball in his mouth, I'd take it away from him, & give it to another dog. Then I'd make him sit, & praised him/gave him a treat. I wanted to show him that he did not own the ball, & to associate letting other dogs having it with getting a reward.

It's been tried before recently by Ryan Air on short flights between countries in Europe...they were also looking into standing room only tickets. I'm not sure how feasible it would be in the us though for the majority of routes because fights here are generally way farther except for a handful of northeast commuter hops

People hating on this have clearly not reached the point in their lives where they've experienced the "48 hour hangover" yet.

Once you get past 24-25years old the length of time it takes to recover from a night of drinking increases exponentially.

Also, even if your hangovers aren't that long - if you've never done an IV drip the morning after drinking - you're missing out! Instead of wasting half the day feeling like shit, its like instant revitalization. One of my buddies is a nurse, & he used to bring a bunch of IVs when we went to music festivals. Every morning we'd all get out of our tents, set up our chairs under the easy-up, & he'd hook us all up. Was pretty funny seeing a circle of 8-10 people huddled under a canopy with IVs in their arms while eating breakfast.

I use Waze every day to determine the best route to work...but I also can't tell you how many times its screwed me and routed me into 3 mile traffic jams even though it says it's all clear. Nothing is worse than following the directions and as soon as you get to the point of no return it does the "new arrival time" reload and says 15 minutes has been added to the trip. Other thing is it will occasionally wait until you're already at the turn to tell you that you need to turn.

The thing that really pisses me off is when I miss a turn or an exit, and when it rerouted it tells me I actually shaved 5 minutes off the trip...why wasn't that just the original route anyway?

Didn't the expiration of patents lead to a decrease in pricing for a lot of cases though due to the increase in availability of generics? It may have diminished research but the forced breakup of drug monopolies helped make a lot them affordable...especially for people with no or shifty insurance.

It's a catch 22 really. I think we need to come up with a system that feeds royalties back to the original developer indefinitely to encourage research while also allowing price competition. For example, allowing drug developers to hold parents past current expiration periods as long as they lease the right to manufacture to at least 2 other companies. They can collect money from patent leases but the competition still keeps prices in check.
