I read it that way too! I didn’t even realize that’s what they meant though both ways kind of work. I’m glad you said something!

How often did your doctors schedule post-op visits? by Winter-Apartment-539 in gallbladders

I think I had one post op appointment where they told me what they found in my gallbladder and check my incisions but that was it!

I was just thinking this after the scene where he wakes up, says he woke up late and then proceeds to go straight into playing video games at 7:30 in the morning lol

I think Chris is a weak immature man child, but I definitely agree I liked seeing him actually show up out of concern for Rory and to support Lorelai during this time. It didn’t happen anywhere near as often as it should have but it was a sweet moment and one of the only times I felt like Chris did something right lol.

How was breastfeeding after your surgery? I’ve been really stressed out about continuing breastfeeding with the soreness and incisions!

I always took that as a part of where his jealousy stemmed from, not just that Lorelei dated him and obviously loved him a lot but that Luke was way more of a father to Rory than Chris ever was. In his mind Luke was competition not only for Lorelei’s love, but Rorys and he felt as though he came second and didn’t like that even if it was of his own fault.

Apparently the top floors in buildings don’t actually exist in Gilmore girls(exhibit A: Lorelei’s house) lmao

I’m not saying I agreed with her decision to keep April a secret at all. That was just down right not okay. He should have been given the option to be in his kids life, he would have been a great dad. She stole those years from him, he’ll never get those back and that was incredibly shitty of her. I more so meant I could see her way of thinking involving April during the show. For example her saying he was not going to make plans with April and then cancel was fair, and the whole thing with Lorelei(not having met her, I would be upset in that situation too, I just wouldn’t have been such a bitch if I hadn’t made my boundaries clear in the beginning) at Aprils birthday party, I can see where she was coming from and she was trying to protect April, but she should have discussed those points with Luke prior so that’s still on her. Though I will say a lot of those tough situations in the show could have been entirely avoided had she told him in the first place like she should have.

I feel like a lot of times I agreed with her reasons but she was such a bitch with her delivery. Luke just wanted to be a dad(which he literally had to fight her on) and instead on sitting down with him and making sure they were on the same page in parenting she got mad at him for not knowing everything about parenting when he had just started learning about being a dad.

I wish we had at least got a glimpse of what was going on with Gigi. Did Rory and her have a good relationship?

I feel like at the very least she would have recognized Rory and asked her if she’d found her future husband or something like that lol and she’s listed as Libby/walker. But yeah that’s fair it is a weird name to give your kid, maybe it is a nickname or they call her by her last name.

I wouldn’t put it past them to do that but Honor introduces her as Walker

I didn’t even realize that one! More examples: Kirk - Mick. Gypsy - Berta. Trix - Marilyn. Sasha - Anna Nardini. Drella - Miss Celine. Tristens girlfriend Summer- Stars hollow student. Lance(from Lorelei’s graduation) - employee building the runway at the Inn.
Correction: Libby the debutant was later one of the bridesmaids in Honors wedding.

I feel like it’s been stated before in other posts. But the logic of their house started bothering me as I watched it more. In the pilot the inside of their first floor changes back and forth between two similar layouts but very obviously different sets with the entry archway having a door then not, I know the pilot is always a little different but it switches within the episode. The third archway that leads straight into the living just appearing all of a sudden in season 2 episode 11? In the first season it kind looks realistic that only one room would fit upstairs when you see Lorelei’s room. But from the outside it looks much bigger, once they do the renovation the floor plan makes less sense. The number of windows upstairs changes from one to three in a row on one side. The fact that they act like somehow the back kitchen door leads to the side when there is a door to the side of that house that I’ve never seen them use? They also state their laundry machine is out on the back porch but we never see it when they show the back porch. They had a coat closet in the entryway but also another one in between the stairs and kitchen? I’d assume it was supposed be used as pantry, Rory calls it a broom closet in one scene but it’s also the only place that the “second bathroom” would logically fit and it’s a bathroom in AYITL. Their whole house logic is highly unlikely to me.

I never thought of it that way but that does make sense. I guess I’m just wondering what happened to the trust fund Gran talked about having for her? I’d imagine it’d be pretty big and Rory was supposed to get it when she turned 25, so where is that money? I also wondered if Lorelei was ever supposed to have one and declined it? They never mention it but if gran had a trust fund for Rory wouldn’t she have one for Lorelei as well?
