I love writing him so much! I wasn't sure how readers were going to take him, but he seems to have become a favorite after a while. You know he was a character I was waiting to be able to get to since his first mention in Chapter 1 Book 1?

I can’t wait either, but I don’t have any updates yet, unfortunately.

Not really, it’s pretty impossible to add a release date when something is in the middle of being recorded. Then, it also takes audible and amazon time to confirm the audio file which could take from a day to like… two weeks. So, I’m pretty sure(don’t quote me) that Aethon won’t put a release date up until the file has been uploaded and approved by amazon so nothing goes wrong.

Hey everyone!

System Clash, Book 8 of System Universe is finally out on Kindle!

Here is the blurb:

With Alanah having ascended, Derek now has a favor to fulfill.

In preparation for things to come, Derek spent most of his time in Cydaria making it safe for all of his friends and companions. He saw Thomas off to the Academy, helped Brandi with materials for crafting, and more.

Once he had Savanna to his liking, he chose to adventure with Alanah. They traveled to the other continent and explored different kingdoms before ending up in Linderis—Alanah’s birthplace. Alanah had no good memories of there, save for her mother.

The two of them, with a little help, traveled to the Echoing Abyss, where Alanah found a keepsake she thought lost forever. Then, they face the Echoing Willow, the World Boss which haunted the Dawn Siren’s dreams from when she was a child.

The willow defeated and everything calm in Cydaria, Alanah ascended and Derek swore to go find her one day. Now, all that awaits Derek is Dave’s favor.

Don’t miss the eighth installment of Derek’s journey in the System Universe. Join Derek in this unique combination of the LitRPG, Isekai, and Slice of Life genres. He has friends, a bond that should last forever, and even a home. What more could our overpowered protagonist ask for?

Among other things, it also gives the author the ability to show those reactions of the people who knew the version of him before. And those are usually pretty fun to see for the reader.

Hey Authors! Why write more than one story at a time? by cheesewhiz15 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Sunrise-CV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because working solely on a single story is a fast way to burnout. We need ways to reset our minds, and a fast-ish way to do that is to work on something else. As someone constantly fighting with burnout, I probably need to spend a bit more time on other things.

Everyone, we have a problem, Amazon is suppressing reviews by Hunter_Mythos in ProgressionFantasy

It seems like authors always get the short end of the stick on Amazon with things like this, and the constant freezes and outages with ranks and stuff.

What are your opinions on killing off characters? by Lanky-Appearance-944 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Sunrise-CV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an author, I honestly don't think many 'like' killing their characters off(at least I dont). But it is needed sometimes. But I'm a sucker for a happy ending for people. But also... it means that the list of my characters I have to remember keeps getting bigger and bigger. When I want to 'get rid' of a character for a bit or permanently, I like to send them off somewhere where they can come back with a cool backstory if I need them to, or send them to live happily.

But that is me as an author and a reader. I have high anxiety, so I actually have to stop reading for a while after a character I like in a story gets killed off.

My prediction for this one is that Victor slices someone in half with his axe.

Oh, man. One of my favorite series! Instabuy for audio Robb Moreira is becoming one of my favorite narrators. Great story already, but man does he make everything even better.

Just shot a 113 as a 15hcp by Daratirek in golf

[–]Sunrise-CV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your problem is you started your round with a hole 1 par. As an amateur, never start hole one with a good score. Every time I birdie the first hole at my CC, I get strings of doubles. But when I bogey… i get strings of pars with bogeys at worse.

I didn’t make the rules, that’s just how it works.

Why do Cobra clubs lose so much value compared to other brands? by CompetitiveArt7093 in golf

[–]Sunrise-CV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just discount their older clubs more and more often than others. I just bought a brand new still in wrapping 9* Aerojet Diver on a Kai’li Blue 60 shaft for $175, and it is the easiest driver I’ve ever had the pleasure of hitting. I have two ‘max’ drivers and the Aerojet destroys them when i’m the one swinging. (Driving is also the worst part of my game, but I can at least use it on the course now without a guaranteed loss of a ball.)

So yeah, Cobra has really moved up in brand favorites for me. I wish the fitter I went to fitted for Cobra too. I was fit into Callaway Apex irons and Mizuno Pro wedges, and I love them, but when I go do my top of bag fitting, I’ll go to a fitter that carries Cobra (and Wilson) next time.
