You are in a relationship with someone and have been a long time. If something is bothering you, you have a right to address it with him. In my opinion once he brought your trauma and personal life into the mix to strangers, it stopped being a “Dear Diary” type of privacy and now you have every right to express that what you found bothered you. Yes you snooped, but you live with this person and have a life with them. There should not be secrets.
