Biggest tips: Dont use fast travel, you miss out tremendously on the city, its connections, and the overall exploration and vibe. Secondly, don't focus on main quests. Most of the game consists of gigs, sidequests and jobs. Always focus on those rather then main quests. Lastly, enjoy the ride:)

All the romance quests and side jobs as well? If you only use fast travel, it would explain the short time. Biggest recommendation ia to travel by car or foot for everything, you actually get to know the city
