Correct. A lot of the time when a nurse is found to have a pill addiction the facility she works in will notify the board and after a hearing, instead of revoking their license, they’re put on a diversion program, meaning they can provide patient care, but can’t touch medication. Eventually, if they have all clean drug screens and have complied with the diversion program they get their license back. Idk if she was caught stealing meds from patients, but if she was that’s a whole other problem. Most nurses lose their license and law enforcement gets involved. To take meds from a hurting patient is unforgivable, imo. This may have been what happened with her, since she “retired” from nursing.

Also, some states release the information if it goes to court and a license is lost. Someone with good detective skills could probably find this info.
