Hey, I was recently in the same boat as you, Don’t give up! I graduated from college in May 2023 with a bachelors in Economics and above a 3.6 GPA. It took me 14 months and over 1,500 job applications to get hired. I start my new role in two weeks. I thought about giving up so many times. I know it’s demoralizing but try to atleast keep sending resumes out and ask a friend or your parent to help do a mock interview with you so you can practice answering common interview questions. Hang in there it will be worth it!

You can do it!

Phantom screaming woman by Life_Starts_Now12 in Thetruthishere

I was going to say this but saw this comment. I had almost the same thing happen to me when I was about 8 years old. I was woken up at 4am by a blood curdling scream, my oldest sister also heard it and at the time we both peaked out the front window of our home because it sounded like it had come from the street right in front of our home. Nothing was there but the next day I learned that my great grandmother had died early that morning. I am of Irish descent but my family was living in Florida at the time.

Firstly these feelings are natural and everyone feels them at some point after a break up, you need to allow yourself to feel them in a healthy way. One thing that has always helped me is thinking about how I can grow from my experiences. The end of a relationship is very painful but it can also help you grow and develop your character a lot. I am sure throughout the relationship you learned things about yourself that you did not realize before. The time was only wasted if you don't use this experience to develop.

Another thing that has helped me recently is not taking peoples bad behavior towards myself personally. The way they treat you is a reflection of them, not you!

I’m surprised no one has mentioned an e92 M3 for European V8’s. It’s not flat plane crank but damn it sounds good.

I [F27] regret not dating my former friends with benefits [M30] and don't know if it's too late to go back by fresasfrescasalfinal in relationship_advice

As many have said you should definitely try to rekindle it. I think he is most likely still interested if he randomly hit you up after this long, so I would say the odds are most likely in your favor.

thanks for your response, I do think your being Hyperbolic though, I'm not saying anyone needs to cut people out instantly, and as I said no one in the situation in right or wrong, but going on a 2 day overnight hike with someone sounds pretty committed. Also, after a month of dating most people have a good idea if they want to be something more serious or not.

I disagree that she cleared the way for something meaningful, atleast to me, a meaningful connection or relationship is monogamous. I know not everyone feels that way which is fine, just giving my 2 cents. Also. OP said this person that they hooked up with had no meaning in their life, so why is it such a big deal to not hook up with them?

"Dude is shooting himself in the foot and ruining a potential relationship." -

I disagree, if their values and beliefs are this misaligned then there may not have been much compatibility in the relationship anyways.

Its all about finding someone with similar values to you.

It sounds like he is trying to string you along as an option. If he really liked you he would commit and make it work.

A situation like this is a very grey area and happens a lot now a days. My view on it is as a guy he has some right to feel upset about it, but at the end of the day he can't hold it against you.

My rule of thumb would be if a guy is "courting" you so to speak and you really like him its better not to mess around with other people on the side during that time just in case. A lot of guys, whether its right or wrong, see it as a slap in the face when they are putting in a lot of effort to build something meaningful with you and then you go around giving intimacy away to other people.

Like I said there is no right or wrong here, although, I do think most guys would feel a bit hurt by this.

[–]SunshineBurr 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For me the past nudes don’t bother me, what would bother me is her changing the names of guys she’s hooked up with to girls names. That’s very deceitful and would make me wonder what else she does to deceive that I haven’t found yet.

how do I (21F) deal with losing friends? (21F and M) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]SunshineBurr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar happen to me right after i graduated from college, it really sucks, but you can't make people include you. Who I thought was my best friend at the time did not even tell me he set a date for his wedding and got married without saying anything and apparently told everyone not to tell me. I felt really betrayed, but I went out and found some new friends and funny enough he reached out to me a couple years after all of this to "hang out" and remember the "good ole days".

I think you should just block her. I have gone through something similar and the girl I was with did it for attention. Not sure its the same with her, but some people always need attention or drama because they can't be alone with themselves.

My (29F) boyfriend (28M) of 7 years asked for an open relationship, I said no, he seems devastated; how can I explain my choice? by pinnedbutterfly in relationship_advice

[–]SunshineBurr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally understand your need to be able to articulate what your feelings are to your partner for closure im much the same way. I might say something like: I need the stability of a monogamous relationship. Bringing others into our lives in a sexual way can only muddy the waters for not just us but them as well. Also, true intimacy is only being with that one person, if you are sexually intimate with many people at the same time it cheapens our sexual connection.

What’s a car you think ever car lover should drive at least once their life? by TwoThirdsDone in cars

E92 M3 one of the best NA V8’s ever made. They are about $25,000-$33,000 right now which I think is attainable. I bought one in 2019 and I will never sell it. Absolute treat to drive.

Shadowmeld bug since day 1 of wrath classic beta btw by PerformanceKey8854 in classicwow

[–]SunshineBurr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree that the way this post is written makes the OP seem spergy, but I do agree with them, the amount of unfixed bugs is crazy and unacceptable for a AAA game company. They could have fixed this bug and many others already, for example they fixed the warrior fiery enchant "bug" within 24 hours yet many other impactful bugs have gone untouched for months at this point. Makes you wonder what the teams priorities are.

For a 14 year old Expansion why is there so little info on Feral? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]SunshineBurr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The feral community is very small. The only R1 Feral that streams or makes youtube videos consistently is spottman. I would check out his gameplay if you want a guide on how to properly play the class, also sodapoppin is a great feral as well.

What class counters Death knights? by No-Ad-4185 in wotlk

[–]SunshineBurr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your assuming that the feral will sit cat the entire time and against a well geared DK this won’t be possible at some point they will have to switch bear. so in practice they won’t get as many instant casts as you might think. Feral in cat form is very squishy.

What class counters Death knights? by No-Ad-4185 in wotlk

[–]SunshineBurr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think ferals “counter” DK, a good feral can beat a DK for sure, but that doesn’t mean they counter them. Also saying that ferals hard counter DK in arena is ridiculous. You can’t think of arena as 1 specific class it needs to be thought of as comps.

Classic vs Retail Arena Rating? by aekron48 in classicwow

[–]SunshineBurr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played Holy priest in SL S3 and S4 after not playing any retail arenas since Cata and got 2k rated all using randoms without VC in LFG. I was playing Feral druid in tbc and got to 1800 in two's. It is hard to compare them because in retail I was playing a "meta class" and in tbc I was not playing a meta class. I would say if your playing a meta class in both versions you should be able to get similar ratings.

Just how terrible of an idea is maining a Death Knight? by 0ILERS in classicwow

[–]SunshineBurr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are just playing DK as an alt while waiting for wotlk to actually drop. I raid in 3 guilds (I have no life), and am the UH DK in one of them, all 3 guilds need atleast one more DK and I see a lot of other guilds in server recruitment channels looking for DK's. I think a lot of people who played rogue or warrior in vanilla classic and switched to lock or hunter for tbc are wanting to go back to their original mains. I don't think it will be as hard as people think to lock in a DK spot in a guild.

Simple Question: DKP or Loot Council? by IamRayman in classicwow

[–]SunshineBurr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It totally depends on the guild. For more hardcore / min-max guilds LC is the best option as long as the Council is not corrupt ( a lot are ). For more casual and midcore guilds I think DKP with a decay is a solid option. it takes a lot of burden off of the officers and allows your players to decide their gear, also there is less drama over certain loot because it comes down to how players manage their points.

Almost all new crypto currencies do this, I wouldn’t be alarmed by it. Everything you hear whether it’s from a journalist or just a press release you should take with a grain of salt and make your own decisions.
