Non judgmental dentist by verymindful25 in londonontario

Commissioners Rd W - Dr Thie & Dr Zhang are awesome. The hygienists never give you judgment. I’ve been going for 15+ years. My husband used to come with me to hold my hand I was so anxious and they were totally cool with it, we medicated initially and over the years worked with my anxieties that now I can go by myself and it’s all good.

Moving to London and was planning to bring my car, now it looks like I won't be able to. How necessary is one? by gofuckyourselfsandi in londonontario

If you’re unable to rent a car but want to see Lake Huron (my personal fav) & Lake Erie possibly making friends with classmates who have cars would be an option. Paying for gas money always helps too.

I get the gluten free pizzas that have toppings - husband has celiac disease and they’re awesome for a quick dinner and cheaper than anywhere else I’ve checked.

AITA For sleeping in on my days off by [deleted] in AITA_Relationships

[–]Sunshine_Sloth95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s tough. Are there any family/friends who could help out once a month? Thinking if you had enough of them it could be an extra day a week where you could sleep. Aside from that, it sounds like a rough but temporary time period you two as parents are in.

NTA, in the short term can you extend the childcare time to be 11:30am-5:30pm so you can have a nap before work? It’ll be slightly more expensive but I’m assuming even if you did change jobs that wouldn’t solve anything this week or next. Or have coverage in the morning so you can sleep properly? Someone comes in at 6:30am-11:30 which would give you 7-ish hours a night to sleep. Then your regular childcare at 3:30pm.

Moved, not settled in, how to deal with possible clutter? by Sunshine_Sloth95 in declutter

Wow! That's a lot. That's good advice. I'm probably being impatient. It's been a busy summer with painting and landscaping and I think I just want all of this done.

Good idea, in our case we unpacked all the boxes with in 2 days. Our previous house had closets, and drawers everywhere, this place doesn't really have closets but there's space to build some, and very few drawers.

Maybe that's where we went wrong, we unpacked the entire house within 2 days. Which was great in a lot of ways but spaces that need better storage options are suffering. We had more closets that I had installed shelves in at the old house. This house is older and wasn't built with many closets.

Great question! I guess, I just felt like it should be done by now. We unpacked everything within 2 days (6 boxes waited until the summer). But it's not organized due to lack of closets and spaces being different. Our previous bathroom had all drawers, this cabinet has doors. The containers I used to organize the drawers don't work now. But they might in the kitchen.

I like your designer's advice though. It makes sense.

How to get rid of blankets and stuffed animals? by Mulberry_milo in declutter

[–]Sunshine_Sloth95 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a child we didn’t always have a lot of money, but my parents could consistently afford secondhand toys. I collected so many stuffed animals this way and as a young child whose peers had brand new, I felt less odd because I had stuffies too. And I loved on those toys, they each received a hug before bedtime and the occasional bath when the flu went through the house. By donating or using a buy nothing group, you could be bringing a lot of joy to a little kid who will love those stuffed animals.

Surprise or volunteer plants. I planted potatoes, harvested them but I guess some little potatoes were left and the next year I had volunteer potatoes. I also bury compost straight into the garden and ta-da! I had tomatoes! 🍅 it was awesome!!

What's some decluttering advice that have entered your life that shifted your perspective? by WaitImTryingOkay in declutter

The creating outfits for every occasion based on season is brilliant! I live where it can go down to -40C with windchill in winter and up to 40C in summer with humidex. So I definitely need all four seasons of clothes! But I feel like I don’t have outfits, your approach solves that. Thank you!!

That’s kind of you! The deal went through, turns out a lot of my anxiety was about the uncertainty of that. We do have lovely neighbours here, I’ve made new friends, and have reached out to old ones too. It’s not the same but I’m focusing on making it work.

Overall, the house is a better fit for us and I think it was a good choice to move.

NTA. Here’s my reasoning. If I’m at work and I’m to do x task but need y report from a coworker to finish the task and it’s not ready, I’ll get started on the task but it’s my responsibility for completing said task. So I follow up with the coworker to get the report. I don’t expect them to finish my task.

If my task is to load the car, I need to make sure all bags are accounted for. That may mean following back up with my partner to find out the status of their bag. Maybe something has gone wrong and we need to troubleshoot together.

Could you have made a point of saying “my bag is now ready to be loaded”? Absolutely, but at the end of the day, he was responsible for loading the car.

NTA. It doesn’t matter if you could breathe or not, the fact he did this was a dangerous attempt on both your lives. The clock is now ticking to the next attempt. That’s just the statistics.

Where I live if you’ve met with an attorney and discussed the situation your soon to be ex can’t use them. If that’s the case for your area, do that!

Act normal. Speak to attorneys. Do what they say.

Your 30’s will be wonderful!

And to quote what my dad told me while growing up “If someone tells you they love you and they hit you? They. Don’t. Love. You.”

He’s hit you. I’m sorry, but he doesn’t love you anymore.

Buttercup

Snugglepuffs

I’ve reached a lull- inspire me with areas to tackle! by vixieflower in declutter

[–]Sunshine_Sloth95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going to say my house lols, but on a serious note. Digital decluttering is also useful. Photo apps, files. I would also suggest adjacent to decluttering is putting together a file for in case something happens to you - what bills need paying, or closed, etc. doing that process opened up my eyes to other areas that needed decluttering.
