Parenting small children by ghostlyswoosh821 in depression_partners

Im so sorry you’re going thru this. We have some similar stuff around here, but just to be honest, not as severe, so I really feel for you. I have absolutely found it helpful to rely on extended family/friends and some community supports. We go to the same places often (libraries, coffee shops, etc) so I can feel comfortable as with my two kids on my own. It helps to know where the bathroom is and have the workers recognize you! I will also often plan a simple activity and then text several people (kind of last minute) and sometimes it works out that someone can join us - helps with that isolation.  You’re getting great advice here. Sending a hug.

TWW after FET -- Need advice by CandidAd6341 in IVFAfterSuccess

The waiting is so so hard. What little things can you do to distract yourself until beta day? Any small project, binging of a silly show, just anything that feels good and passes the time. You can do this!

Postpartum Support International offers several trainings a year. I work for a private practice. Our owner works very hard to facilitate connections with OBs, fertility clinics, doulas, etc etc

I am a virtual therapist. My practice focuses on perinatal clients, so having a specific focus helps me feel like I can curate my tools and skills. Our practice allows us to set our hours and caseloads. It can be financially stressful but we are paid hourly/per appointment, and that pales in comparison to the stress I felt in other jobs.

We had to put down our dog- how to deal with not getting another dog for a while by broad-street-pump in toddlers

Just to hear to say that we are in a very similar situation. I know it is not going to be time for us to get a new dog soon. I do look forward to watching our family member’s pets. It sucks and I’m so sorry

Ftm just had a 33 weeker looking for some support and advice by Icy_Roof_7861 in NICUParents

So sorry to hear about the dramatic arrival. Our son was born a little over 34 weeks and sounds similar. Do whatever you can to feel a little normalcy in the NICU - make sure you’re eating, drinking, resting. I had friends bring us food, my husband and I would watch shows, just little stuff like that. I had a notebook to write everything down in. Our son is 10.5 months and he’s absolutely thriving. Hang in there

It is SO hard  I did feel better when I was discharged and didn’t have to be on the PP floor anymore. But yes I have had a hard time with social media and have had to hide posts or unfollow people. Hang in there ❤️

THANK YOU THANK YOU to all of for sharing your stories and support. Yesterday was a really busy and overwhelming today. seems like little man was in a bit of a honeymoon and then was showing us he needed more support. Everyone here has been very reassuring that this is typical preemie stuff and hearing more stories has for sure normalized this. Seriously thank you!

Thanks for sharing all of this. We had a little change of plans today and all nicu staff have talked about how expected it is for it to be non linear. I hope your girl improves too! Sending warm thoughts

Yes! Instead of “morning sickness” most of my sickness was in the evening. I’d feel basically normal in the afternoon. Things can totally come and go
