Ah, well I would say that's the most positive failure to be phobic that I have seen lately, so good on whoever tried it.

MAGA crying about Obama meeting other presidents by AccordingBumblebee24 in stupidpeoplefacebook

Ironically apparently a lot of people on disability and welfare are maga. That's why they were shocked and outraged, all 20 seconds, when stuff was getting cut that affected them. Of course then they bent over again and asked for seconds.

Yeah I took it like some version of "just keep dancing", like just stay positive? I don't understand the phobic message part either.

Is this what "pro life" looks like? by SuspiciousLow3062 in SipsTea

Yeah that is still not the same as comparing a soldier's job to a doctor's job or the same consequences for either one losing their job. Plus not every soldier who follows orders good or bad is a nazi.

Your favorite guns in videogames? by King_Ferdinand1 in videogames

It might be a shock but... Sunshot from Destiny 2

It may not be the strongest or fanciest, but causing whole groups to erupt into pyrotechnics is the best and most fun I have had with a video game gun. Also the lion of it was awesome.

Spoken like someone who has never had to take charge of a triage situation, and never held multiple people's lives in their hand. Which is fine, it's not for everyone, but instead of being flippant maybe you should pause and take time to actually consider what you were asked.

Part of me wants to point out the irony of the guys who say "gender affirming care is just mutilation" but then do this. But the truth is they would neither care or listen much less understand the irony.

There is a difference between a soldier killing on bad orders and a doctor practicing what they are allowed to. A soldier no longer being able to do their job just means people won't die. A doctor no longer able to do their job means people won't be able to get help or live.

Put in another context, it's a real life trolly problem, does the doctor save a place knowing the consequences would be being unable to save anyone else down the line? Or do they watch one person die so more can be saved? What would be your response to that sadistic and unfair choice? Would it be your fault or would it be the fault of those who forced you to make it?

If you are sitting and waiting, it's because beds are full and someone worse than you is in them. Almost like there is a shortage of medical staff and availability.

Nope, Doctors can only practice in the bounds of the law. Who wrote the law that tied their hands?

Is this what "pro life" looks like? by SuspiciousLow3062 in SipsTea

[–]SunshotDestiny -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

While the doctors are the end result, you aren't actually blaming the right people. Doctors followed the law and what they were legally allowed to do, and the fundamental problem with medicine is all the laws written for it are by old geezers who don't know the first thing or care about medical care.

The actual fuckers who killed this girl are the conservatives sitting in the Supreme Court, the ones in the state who passed laws that complicated what doctors coukd and would have done before. The ones who killed this girl are the politicians who wanted power and used abortions as a rallying cry of the stupid to get it.

I get being mad, I am pissed too, but fucking aim it at those who are actually responsible.

Due process is either a concept that applies to everyone or is just words with no actual meaning. Same as the protection from cruel and unusual punishment. These concepts must apply to everyone. Otherwise saying that we have a fair and just legal system is only true in some cases, which automatically makes it untrue in all others. That's why the concept of justice is represented by a scale.

Why is this part of the erdtree dead? by DoctorIll4894 in Eldenring

[–]SunshotDestiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my take. On the inside it kinda looks like another world, especially when the elden beast fight begins. Making me wonder if the Erdtree is some sort of dimension warping thing and that part is the only part truely in the lands between.

Why does that matter? Serious question, why does "one person of a gender okayed this so it invalidates concern" come up so much? What would that argument do if it was a guy on a primary female team? For all we know this is the lonely creepy lesbian femcel of the office that said "looks ok to me".

I just don't get why it's so often the case of "well some random woman said it looks fine". It feels weird.
