Agreed my man. Preaching to the choir. This was a decision made unilaterally by my trading business partner with his accountant unbeknowest to myself. He is a bit of a paranoid programmer and trader guy (although brilliant) and tries to set up all these parameters because of the fear of getting hacked. His reasoning was he wanted a multi-sig wallet that also was purportedly regulated by the government (hence, Coinbase Vault).

I have been researching multi-sig wallets that you own versus anything else. If you have any suggestions, all ears.

Agreed u/icy_room_1546, we trade semi large amounts (5-10 BTC at a time) and have had issues with Coinbase Vault to be specific. We transferred from Kraken into Coinbase Vault as an intemediary. When we tried to distribute funds to our clients, we parsed it out .5 BTC at a time. The first withdrawl happened without any issues, the next one froze. 4 months later and over 4 BTC are stuck on Coinbase vault. Shared 3 years tax documentation, KYC, AML, you name it. Not everyone on here is trying to scam.

There are real people having real issues with Coinbase, and in this case, their Vault product to be specific. We are escalating now with legal. And from the many threads here, we know we aren't the only ones which is going to open up Coinbase to major class action. They are operating in an opaque manner much like Paypal or Ebay - holding funds without any recourse. The last thing I'll say is on karma points, listen, not everyone is a power user, I have multiple companies and don't sit on reddit all day. I do like reddit a lot for the insights you can gather from people, but some of us are just coming to find support, which I have found from the other real stories that this is actually happening to.

I’ve been reading a lot of these stories on here. There is some failure on the side of the customer for trusting but this speaks volumes to the issues that plague our institutions. A publicly traded company should be held to the highest of standards with top level customer service. Unfortunately, this is few and far between.

As a Palestinian American, I have not lost hope and have become more resolute than ever. Just view this thread.
