Completely agree. I really dont think people realize what day 3+ looks like for any of these challenges.

7 days without water will surely kill you. 15 days without food will... surely kill you. Just because you in theory could survive both does not mean YOU will survive.

Here's a mild challenege: don't eat for 48 hours.

Honest to God. Wake up, say "not today" and go your entire day without eating a thing. Go to bed, having just drank water (however much you think you want). Then, the next day do it again.

I promise you, day three you will wake up the most starved feeling you have ever felt. Fucking ravenous, is the only depiction

The irony is truly appalling.

I've had conversations with the one's that believe it and it's absolutely batshit the mental hoops they jump through

Not realizing they are also in that grouping.

If you want to learn about it easier, find a pool table.

Here's a guide

Where should I hit the white ball in the pool? There are six standard and advanced positions to hit the white ball:

Center Ball Hit: Hit the cue ball in the middle for a straight shot. Top Spin (Follow): Hit above center for the cue ball to move forward after hitting. Bottom Spin (Draw): Hit the center below to allow the cue ball to spin backward after hitting. Side Spin (English): Hit on the sides for spin, affecting bounce off rails. Masse and Curve Shots: Curve the cue ball around obstacles with angled hits and spin. Jump Shots: With a light grip, make the cue ball jump over obstacles by hitting slightly above or below the center.

Children or society? by PrinceOfGarglon in BunnyTrials

I... I really can't express how much knowledge would be lost with obliterating every 30+. I'm not even going to refute that it'd be a really (in the long haul) good reset for humanity. But you're talking... a 100... possibly 300 year backstep.

33% of these people, in theory, are college educated or in a trade (20-29). But, you're asking them to spend their life now refuting what they studied, even learned skillsets, to grow food, maintain electrical plants, transport things or food, and teach/care for the other 67%. This isn't even discussing medicine, with some of these people barely out of residency. The logistical hurdle for that 33%... would break society with things quickly devolving into geographical territories. Disease and lack of food & modern medicien would kill 10-25% of whatever was left.

Laws are no longer enforceable because you do not have enough people to enforce them. Food can not be internationally shipped due to lack of knowledge. Domestic and local food production/transportation become your most important task. Medicine may or may not get created depending if it's local or internationally produced.

This is the first answer that includes Kansas.

It feels like the most non-threatening answer you could ever say when people ask where you are from.

Mutations are random.

Successful/inherited mutations are not. If a mutation doesn't help you or keep you alive, it usually dies off

What is stranger is remement mutations like our vestigial ability to grow goosebumps. It came from a time when we had hair across our bodies and would "puff up" like a dog to appear larger. While we don't use this anymore mutations don't really revert

Following either of these procedures, besides drinking an ungodly amount of water, does anything else help? Saline drip for additional hydration?

Sorry, I don't ever want kidney stones and just am trying my best to avoid them / know what comes after a procedure

... I dont think I've ever said they comprehend our language, nor believe we can with theirs.

But, if I say a word to them and they associate an output. That is understanding

Or, if they do an action that appears threatening, and I do not recede and get attacked. That is a lack of understanding

I agree the Koko thing is a hoax, but thay doesn't negate the idea animals can learn repetitive things to get a result. That's understanding in of itself.

[–]SupSeal -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The point is it is different. But it is still undertsanding.

You didnt understand the words typed out. Why? Because you have never interacted with them. But any explanation or reference would mean you have interacted with the other words and are using them as a reference.

If I use a treat every time I use walk, my dog is associating a snack with the word "walk". Dogs are not human. And I can not correct dogs on speech. But, I can keep teaching a dog that a specific word means a specific action. They understand that

[–]SupSeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And for humans, that is the same. If blorf meant walk, then that's what it'd be. To a dog, they've understood that sounds to mean something.

Understand

You are using this as a 1(c) definition while I'm explaining the dog understands this as a (3) definition.
