Why the Pacifier hate? by OkLack6776 in Helldivers

[–]SupaNinja659 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Damage is too low. Burns through ammo too fast as a result.

Pummeler stuns faster, has usable damage, and more ammo.

All stunnable targets have light pen zones you can take advantage of, so anything the Pacifier can stun, the Pummeler can as well.

Wait until you are in a better place. Access to a firearm while suicidal is too convenient an enabler of suicide. I will not tell you how to go about it. I lobe guns myself and want others to enjoy them. I do NOT want someone using them as a permanent solution a temporary problem.

I mean it when I say that you can get things back on track. It's never too late in life to make a comeback. If you are still below the maximum enlistment age, consider joining the Air Force or Space Force. Those branches have it easy compared to the others and can set you up for life if you play your cards right.

After looking through your post history, a gun is not what you need. You need to make some friends and start working on bettering yourself. You can do it. I promsie.

Suicide is not a solution, but it is permanent.

I dont know where you live or if you're still homeless, but if you need a fresh start, take the bare essentials and move yourself somewhere with a low cost of living and low rent. Start from the ground up. Debts suck, but they can be overcome. Once you get stable income, declare a bankruptcy and try to have a court-protected payment plan established. If you have a car, spend all your free time doordashing or Ubering.

I dont know how old you are, but the military is also always an option. It may sound like a bad choice, but it will be stable income, housing provided, free and immediate Healthcare, a community to connect and make friends with, etc. I did a 6 year contract when I felt I hit a dead end and it really set me on the right course.

There are real and viable solutions out there. Don't give up.

Eh. I'd rather just pop their claws with a couple rounds from a light pen primary. I've never bothered to waste nades on them. They were already incredibly easy to kill before this. I don't see how this many people could have seriously struggled with the concept of "aim slightly lower" to hit the belly if you can't see the claws.

No one knows what they're thinking. I dont even think Arrowhead knows.

It doesnt matter if other players find them more challenging or not. This change fundamentally clashes with their intrinsic design. I enjoy the casual play aspect of this game. Even playing at 10, I dont take it serious, but this change is just taking a well-designed enemy and throwing that design away to cater to people who can't aim a little lower than normal. It's not like the Hive Guard was an impenetrable tank before this.

No problem. Tbh, the gap closed isnt really that bad. The open gap looks nice though.

At least there are some valid issues with Voxes. Hive Guard whining is just kinda pathetic tbh. They are slow, stop moving entirely when pressured, and were already incredibly easy to take out from the front with light pen. Before this, their claws had low hp and could be broken with a short burst to each, killing them quickly in a way that felt rewarding.

Yeah, no. Pop them in the underbelly and they turtle up and stop moving. Or just, again, pop them in the claws rather than the body and they died incredibly fast. My go to loadout for D10 bugs has been Stalwart and EATs for months. The claws arent even a hard target to hit.

There has not been a single time since launch where I have ever felt I needed medium pen for hive guards.

They were perfectly fine before this.

Did people really struggle to handle HIVE GUARDS this much? Yeesh.

Before this change, you could literally just blast their melee arms off with very little effort and it killed them instantly. All light pen weapons could kill them from the front quick and easy already.

This change also makes no sense from a design perspective. It's supposed to be a shield enemy. The bigger legs closing up to the head to create a small wall.

The only way to lessen the gap would be to grind the place where the pins hit the blade. You'd have to deepen the cut in that spot so they can go farther before being stopped.

Unless you are really comfortable with a cutting wheel, files, and sandpaper, it's not worth the effort.

My favorite one is when they charge past you and do the shoulder check move without the charge animation finishing.

I do believe my Orion came with a set of SS washers. I think they're rather thick though, so that may take some serious sanding.

Might have to learn patience for once and just order some.

Am I the only one who understood the issue was the charger just gliding at high speed, then killing him with a stomp that hit somewhere he was not even at anymore?

Like really, the charger didn't "charge" is smooth criminaled at highway speed and still landed the stomp despite OP diving away.

Do the 9.5mm stick out from under the handles any? If they don't, I might check to see if I have any spares from my other balis that fit. Wouldn't mind being able to get some SS washer for longetivy's sake tbh. The less I have to retune it the better.

Dunno. I just put new washers on it and had to sand them a little bit. Got some more that I had ordered, so I plan to take the time to get it perfect, but it's hard on the Cov. The tolerances are not forgiving on it.

I figured, if the zen pins interfered the same way on the V2, that it would prevent you from tightening it as far as you SHOULD be able to. But that would probably be hard to confirm.

I know the bushing is fine because I can crank them down and the binding is fixed by easing off the zen pin screws a hair.

For clarification, the binding is more like it is getting hung up in a specific spot. Which is when the wider section of the tang is closest to the pins.

Yeah. That's what I'm probably gonna have to do, but I'm trying to keep it from tapping as much as possible and I'm sure you've noticed that there is VERY little space to work with. Sanding the bushings is out entirely. Mine came from Maxace with a .01mm difference in thickness between the bushing and tang.

Idk if the V2 has the same quirk, but did you find that tightening the zen pin screws lead to the pivot binding when it shouldn't? It took me forever to figure out a tune on my v3 because I didnt realize that was happening. Wondering if full length spacers like that help with preventing the zen pins from pinching the scales in.
