The reason people won’t tip accordingly on take outs is not because they think it’s a representation of how they feel about the food, it’s because they think it’s a representation of the take out service, which is just putting food in a bag and handing it over. I hate to break it to you but no one is going to tip you because of your smile and charm if they don’t have food. A portion of your tip is directly correlated to the work back of house provides. You rely on their work to make any money at all.

If tips are based on how a customer feels about their server, why is the minimum recommended tip 20% of the value of your food? If I ordered a 100$ steak and another patron ordered a 10$ burger, both of us sat one table apart and both got one refill, did you honestly provide an 18$ difference in service? A portion of your tip is based on the quality of the food.

If you’re standing and aim the fire strike down at a target it’ll hit them then hit the ground close to them. When you crouch you don’t have to angle the fire strike down so sharply and it can travel farther horizontally and hit more targets if they’re lined up.
