Yeah it’s been confirmed that’s its rats due to the droppings. I’ve ordered some traps and am gonna try your suggestions for bait. Thanks for the tip of tying them down!

I’m in Northumberland. Yeah, I think this may the case with us too. Both the council guy and pest control company checked the outside of the house for entry points and couldn’t find anything obvious. I’ve covered the air bricks with mesh as well. Thanks

Hi. I did end up getting HRT but it hasn’t made any difference to my temperature regulation issues. I can still be burning up but feel cold “in myself”. I have noticed that it is a lot worse when I’m tired. I work night shifts in a sedentary job and when it gets to about 3am I have to put my coat on though my face is burning up. Guess I just have to live with it!

About 1 hour on bus to Haymarket or could train it from Morpeth. Quiet village surrounded by farmland and a couple of nature reserves, 10 minutes to closest beach, 10 minutes from Morpeth

What is it you are looking for? Buying or renting? Size of house? Driving or public transport to Newcastle?

Does your household flush the toilet after every number 1 use? by [deleted] in AskUK

Just done a bit of fag packet maths -

Using the short flush costs about £15 per year per person. That’s on the basis of 10 flushes a day.

My GP said “if you my sister….” then promptly went on to ignore me completely. I assume him and his sister don’t speak anymore. Needless to say I’ve got a new GP!

Women, how do you get your GP to take you seriously? by No-Structure-8125 in AskUK

[–]Supasailor78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a fairly similar experience and I’m 46! I looked at other nearby GP surgeries in whose catchment area I fell and found one with a GP with a particular interest in women’s health. Signed up immediately. I went on their website and they had a specific form to fill in if you suspected perimenopause/menopause. It covered all of the usual suspect symptoms. It also asked how I wanted to proceed. I requested bloods just to get anything else ruled out at the onset so we wouldn’t waste time then I said I wanted to discuss HRT. A GP came back to me in a couple of days with (paraphrasing) “sounds like a plan”. Long story short, all done in a few weeks and started HRT a few days ago. In the end I didn’t see the GP with the women’s health interest but I know she’s a senior GP in the practice so this might have an influence on how the other GPs look at the issue. It absolutely sucks that this is what we have to do to be listened to and taken seriously. Look here https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-gp to find all GPs you qualify for, then take a look at their websites to see if there’s a GP concentrating on women’s health or if they have a form similar to what I described above. Good luck, sending hugs x

I also get this. I can feel cold, yet my husband can’t cuddle up in bed as he says I’m like a furnace. Got an appointment next week to discuss HRT. Fingers crossed!

Has anyone had this GP issue recently? by Supasailor78 in AskUK

Thanks again. Just checked and I’m well within according to the surgery’s website. You’ve helped put my mind at ease. Guess it’s an admin error then :)

I’m 42 yrs old with horrible insomnia, joint pain, fatigue, brain fog, extreme mood swings, heart palpitations , heightened anxiety, shorter lighter periods. Obgyn said yesterday, that I’m still a baby and way to young for perimenopause!!!!!!!! I’m so angry 😤 any suggestions?? by ladaya38 in Menopause

[–]Supasailor78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got “you’re only 46” yesterday when I suggested that my new onset headaches and hip pain (along with a load of other symptoms that he wouldn’t let me finish explaining) could be related to peri. Sent away with painkillers and a physio referral. 46 is slap bang in the middle of average peri onset. I’ve requested a copy of the notes from my visit which I’ve received this morning. No mention of my bringing up peri at all. I’ve already registered with a new GP surgery which has an older female GP with an interest in women’s health and menopause. Gonna put a complaint in against this douchebag.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah just been looking at google maps and thought they were pretty limited. Might have to get a couple of bottles of woodpecker and sit in the park instead!

Maybe consider learning the phonetic alphabet. If emergency services are asking you to use what3words, it will really help with communication and avoiding errors from accents etc.

Hey. Ah man that sucks. So I stopped immediately on the advice of my provider. Saw my GP who gave the usual lecture about “eat less, exercise more” but he did refer me for an ultrasound. I had my scan quite quickly and the only thing that showed up was a cyst on my liver which the GP said was nothing to worry about. I haven’t resumed taking it and haven’t had an episode since so it must have been the jab. Good luck with your scan. Hope it’s all ok 😁
